Might be bugged, killed around ~700 of these guys and haven't seen a single one drop while getting 3 of the avian lattices.

Edit: Got it soon around 850 kills. Probably shares a similar droprate with the lattice.

Based on the motes I have, I could probably say it took around 230 kills to get one of these items. In that same time, I got 9 Proto Lattices.

Currently still farming to try and get a second one.

Update: 10ish kills later I got a second. I think I got extremely lucky with that.

It took me 3 kills to get Richiamo Infinito del Vento but it did take me over 5,400 casts to get Gelatina Strana; so rng is rng I suppose. I killed the Enhanced Avian birds near the summoning stone for the raid.
Edit: I came back near the summoning stone tonight and killed 3 more and got it again. Possibly "fixed" now or I just got real lucky.

I've found the best place to farm these is out on the Sepulcher Of The First Ones island. just making your way around the island killing the birds. I'm averaging 1 drop for every 4 times around the island.

I farmed outside of the raid, making laps around the island. 500 kills later, it hasn't dropped, but I've gotten three proto avian lattices.

Did anyone notice that the 'Unique (2)' and the tooltip icon showing a stack of 20 don't match?

Weird because that'd mean you could eventually stack 20, but in a guild's bank, which the BoA tag prevents.

For anyone farming these, the 4 avians perched on the rock on the left path (north side) fly away if you approach them from the bottom of the hill, go counter-clockwise and approach them from the top of the hill while you farm and you get to kill them instead.

I too am having no luck farming these from the Enhanced Avians. Probably because there isn't enough data collected yet but I'd say the drop rate is definitely not 6 or even 4 percent. Farmed a few hundred avians and got 4 lattices but this thing still has yet to drop.

Edit One: Had to take a break but I’ve been back at it. Now at 13 lattices, but zero Wind’s.

Edit Two: I grouped with a nice couple also farming the area and wouldn’tcha know it… got two of them to drop not long after.

Farming for two hours yesterday, not a single drop. Went to do something else like old content farm and stuff.....and today it dropped from the first Avian I killed in ZM. I think if I would farm it without having a break it would not drop until now.

I think it's just a random, low drop rate. I farmed for a couple of days, maybe a total of ten hours and on the third day, I got two within one hour.

I have been farming for 2.5 hrs now and got 2 green and 1 Wind's.
No clue why they are so rare. The mounts are not thát special. Not BoE, nor are the items. No one can make money from them so no monopoly. Green one excluded of course. Those are plentiful in comparison to the rare ones.

I came here looking for answers, but to update my experience... I've been to the raid island for days at a time and farms the birds for hours... I have had at least 25 Lattice drops, but ZERO of the Rare: Wind's Infinite Call...
It's heartbreaking really.

I have been killing the birds for days, nothing. My friend swears he has never killed any of them and somehow has Wind's Infinite Call in his bag.. he doesn't remember how he got it, if it was a chest or a quest. Sigh. Hopefully soon someone will bring more info.

I've finally got the 2 of these Richiamo Infinito del Vento that are needed for the 2 mounts. It's taken c.3-4 hours (but I was able to multi-task which I recommend) so here's what I've learned....

1/ The area on the west of the Supulcher of the First Ones island is ofc best. They appear elsewhere (e.g. Forge of Afterlives) but don't waste your time on singles there; you need huge numbers
2/ I had a macro to target the Aviano Potenziato at first (not a bad idea since some are obscurely hidden) but you quickly learn spawn points so macro is obsolete after the first few circuits
3/ they respawn quickly (c.5 mins). I multi-tasked with pet battle queues which was far more efficient since my cooldowns were reset and most of the birds had respawned by the end of the battle so you get to burst 10-20 very quickly
4/ in terms of hit rate, the patch has moved on so now with ilvl 264, this is perhaps quicker than earlier comments. For a sense of numbers, I ended up with 10 of the Reticolo di Proto-Aviano, which might suggest a 5:1 ratio of Reticolo di Proto-Aviano to Richiamo Infinito del Vento and I'm guessing a total of c.1000 Aviano Potenziato kills for my 2 x Richiamo Infinito del Vento (btw, the second one dropped within 50 kills of the long-awaited first)

my advice, stop farming zerith mortis stuff, it will drop sooner or later, and then you wont have wasted tons of hours. do something else, things will come by themselves while doing patterns and dailies.

Farmed 2 of these quickly at /way 75. 48

Just stay on the platform and also pull the few other birds in the area, and realm hop around. This is the best place for it. Birds have a lot of HP so tank spec or good gear is needed if you pull all of them for 1 pull, cause the birds further away is also a bit slow to come before you aoe.

Spent about 1.5-2h farming to get 2 of these. I can confirm that you're able to get both in a single sitting (no lockout or anything).
I just spent the whole time flying around the island where the raid is located killed every bird.

In the process of getting 2 Richiamo Infinito del Vento I also got:

The FASTest way to get 2 of these is...

Drop the 1st one in your bank
then go after the 2nd.

Total time of 5 minutes for me,
considering i got the 1st one in a few mobs also.

after farming the 2nd for 3 hours i banked it and went back, 2nd mob got it.
it's best to solo target loot for this item.

I also looted a Richiamo Infinito del Vento as a first farming kill from a group of 4 Aviano Potenziato at the island, sitting on a ledge ( /way 75.23, 49.53 )
This was not my first drop, my first drop was looted without my detection on a previous visit to the island several months ago.

There's a group of 4 Aviano Potenziato right at /way 75 4, and a few others very close by. Assuming you haven't done the World Boss Quest for the week, I suggest joining these groups, killing these 4 and others around it, leaving and continuing to join groups until you have both of them. Both of these took me roughly 30 minutes, around ~150 kills. I was in a group with another person and he also got his two in the same amount of time as me.

If you prefer AFK farming, coordinates below in my opinion are the best place. 2 big groups (3 + 4) and 2 solo Enhanced Avian very close. Respawn time is around 5-7 minutes from my observation.

If you prefer active farming, I'll attach the route that I take. Usually after full circle (takes about 4-5 min), I wait 1-2 min and and they should all be ready for killing if you are doing them as fast as I am (DH ilvl 275 double legendary).

I've gotten my first after around 1h of active farming, and then the second one after around 2h of AFK/passive farming.

If you are in raid group with lot of ppl it will drop in a short time i guaranteed.
I farm the first item for 5 hours, then joined a raid group for Sepulcher of The First Ones and the 5. bird drop 2 items at the same time.
