This is one of 3 new Engineering Profession Knowledge items in 10.2.

Insonniatron is inside a cave on an island off the south coast of the zone.
Acchiappasogni Sperimentale is sitting in a circular tree branch high off the ground.
Batteria Non Schiusa is sitting in a nest on the east side of the zone.

The Hidden Quest ID is 78279 so you can check to see if you've already looted it by running the following command.

/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(78279))

If it returns true, you've looted it. If it returns false you have not.

This was not there for me until I talked to Anziana Cassaphine for Dei Selvatici in mezzo a noi. Talking to her then causes the cave to change to a different phase where Insonniatron shows up. It will be marked by a treasure icon on the minimap.

Insonniatron doesn't seem to be visible either when Trivella di Fuoco per Driadi is active. Once the quest was completed, it became visible.

I can verify that Insomniotron is indeed inside Barrows of Reverie and not some island (this is the first cave you go to when you start the chain in the Emerald Dream - bottom right of the zone). If the WQ is going in the cave you may have to complete it first, I know it's true for the alchy item that is also inside the cave.

(1) go to cave entrace at /way Emerald Dream 63.5, 71.6
(2) go inside and to the middle tunnel when it split into 3.
(3) keep going till you come to a large hall with some dryads or so
(4) go through the hall to the tunnel on the other side of the hall
(5) First room on your right, there's a black bear sleeping. The insomnicron is just in the room, out of line of sight from the direction you coming in. it's like a yellow filamen light thingy.
