You can get multiple items from the same basket, or be unlucky and get nothing. You can get duplicate cosmetics.

According to the blue post, Tappeto Volante Nobile can only drop for level 60-70 characters.

Update: Blizzard has now hotfixed in an increased chance at the mount in your first basket of the day as well as a higher droprate from subsequent kills. (Source)

I completed the quest Una nuovità entusiasmante/ which drops from Daetan Piumasvelta(A)/Daetan Swiftplume(H) on all of my characters and obtained a total of 48x Cestino Pieno di Bottino on the First Day of the event.

Day 1 Looted 48x Cestino Pieno di Bottino and I have received all 6 transmog pieces available from the basket multiple times. Sadly no mount.
Day 2 Looted 12x Cestino Pieno di Bottino and received the Tappeto Volante Nobile mount! Screenshot

Camuffatore da Anatra is another notable item. You obtain this toy from completing the quest A una piuma di distanza/A una piuma di distanza starting in Elwynn Forest/Durotar.

P.S. The quest Una nuovità entusiasmante is shareable, so you don't actually need to kill the Daetan Swiftplume. You can ask a friend to share it to you or use a 2nd account. Also there's people in the group finders sharing the quest, you can find them by typing "share" in the custom tab!

Edit: The quest has been hotfixed and it's not shareable anymore! Gotta to kill Daetan Swiftplume to receive the quest now.

god damn this event and this mount.

30 quest completed got the tmog done, a bunch of duplicates but no mount.

i guess tomorow is another day, but i swear to god even with 46k achievements points and 942 mounts already done, if i don't get this ^&*! done by the end of the event i won't renenw my sub

god i hate with a passion this type of event

the rocket of course didn't drop either

i won't look for another year at this stupid mount coolection being unable to farm and obtain this

Now that the wowhead loot page updated, it shows a realistic drop %: before it was giving 2 out of 24 attempts dropped mount cause the sample was too small, 8%, while now it says 2 out of 303 attempts dropped mount, which is 0,7%.

This obviously is subject to change as more people get it, but considering several of us already did 50-70 attempts with no mount, it's not an unrealistic drop % in my opinion and with this % if you run it with 100 characters a day (for which you need more than 1 account because of the cap) you should be able to get it by the time the event ends even if extremely unlucky, if the drop rate is any lower there's a serious risk that the most unlucky will need to try again next year, even using 100 toons.

Do you need to complete the quest chain with the current character in order to have a chance to drop the mount, or can you just log the alt an kill the rare?

I can't find the npc Sylnaria Fareflame in Durotar on a Orc alt since the Orc Heritage Armor quests (Armatura Retaggio degli Orchi). I already finished the Orc Heritage Armor quests, so I don't know how to fix it.

Edit: Okay. It is fixed after I re-log in the alt.

For those wondering as I haven't seen it mentioned any where. You can get one Cestino Pieno di Bottino per day per character.
It's assumed your first kill per account guarantees a higher chance of the mount but it is unconfirmed at this time.

It's possible to get two pieces of loot from this! I just received the Cappello Parasole Color Turchese del Festaiolo Primaverile and the Vestito Color Turchese del Festaiolo Primaverile in the same basket.

Edit: It's also possible to get the mount as well as multiple pieces of the transmogs. Good luck everyone! :)

Below is a list of all the items available from Cestino Pieno di Bottino, which is rewarded for completing Una nuovità entusiasmante / . This quests is started from Monile di Nobiluova which drops once a day per level 60-70 character from Daetan Swiftplume located in either /way #37 30.24 91.46 Foresta di Elwynn or /way #1 44.42 35.09 Durotar and appears to have a respawn timer of 5-10 minutes. Killing this mob will also award the achievement Quaquassassino. Items include 6 transmog pieces and a mount:

Maybe I am just slow but was confused at first for the transmog. There are two separate sets for these. Two violet versions on the trading post as well.

It is at least possible to obtain multiple items in one basket. However, there is no duplicate protection unfortunately. Good luck to all farming these and the mount.

Day 4: I got my Mount. Was my 13th Char!

Using 26 level 70 characters to farm this in last 2 days.

So far :

Carpet : got it on 42nd try.

Transmog set : 3 head, 3 chests, 3 belts, 9 legs, and NO boots.

All characters below level 60 receives a Cestino Zeppo di Bottino that can not contain the Tappeto Volante Nobile

And a Level 60 Trial character also receives the Cestino Zeppo di Bottino
