This thing has been extremely disappointing so far.

You can't use it before the fight, if you are out of combat it uses its rez immediately regardless whether anyone is dead. So you get to spend 5s during the fight trying to cast the thing
It apparently has a despawn timer or something. I dropped it early once and it was just gone. I don't know if it timed out or I got too far away or what but it was just gone when we wiped.
After it rezes it blows up killing anyone that didn't immediately run away. I thought this was a backfire and it was kind of fun. But as far as I can tell it does it EVERY time, less fun, especially combined with all of the other garbage with this design.

Its expensive in both mats and knowledge points. Why can't it just be useful.

This thing is awful. Someone in our raid dropped it at end of boss, so we were excited about not having to run back. We all take the rez, then it blows up and kills all of us and wastes our time having to run back anyway. Happened again a few wipes later. What a terrible idea for an engi item. If it happened occasionally, it'd be hilarious. Instead, use of this item is now banned in our raids so that we just don't waste time instead.

Week 1 everyone was like "Oh hey here is a bres item" and we all thought "Awesome, bring an engineer"... Oh yeh thanks Blizzard. 40 points down, cost too much to make, one time use, can fail and kill you again adding to your repair bill.

There is an item from WOD that does the same thing; but can be re-used. This is just a waste of time and effort, but we should have learned by now over the years, the only good thing engineers can make are gliders, nitro boosts, Jeeves (and the Legion version) and wormholes.

While the cost/utility of this robot is questionable, I suspect people are losing sight of the fact that the 40pts of knowledge you spent getting down to gaining the reciple still counts as available skill points for engineering as a whole.

Apparently unpopular opinion: this thing is hilarious and awesome. I save runs in M+ with this all the time. The explosion is trivial to dodge - either just run away immediately or wait until after it explodes to accept the rez. And then you can just get people up again. I get to be helpful AND blow up my friends, what's not to love?

It costs less than 2k gold to craft these days, not bad at all for something that can save you from not timing a key - the runback time for the third boss in TJS is brutal.

One question I have: is it currently possible to craft these things at tier 3 without inspiration? It seems like I could max out Mechanical Mind, Optimized Efficiency, and Generalist without hitting the 316 skill necessary.

For those wondering at what point you should cast this during a fight, it will last 2 minutes at r2 - I'm not sure if r3 increases that.

Make sure you let someone who can defensive or get away quickly accept it first because he has a habit of blowing up and killing you after he rezzes.

Love this thing. Its hilarious watching it kill whoever takes the rez before it blows itself up. Now, if you don't want to die after getting rezzed by him, just wait til he blows himself up before you accept the rez.

This thing has saved a few of my keys, as a rogue I can vanish to reset the boss encounter and then use this to mass rez my whole party(just make sure they don't accept it until after he explodes).

1. It can proc multicraft when crafting (provided you have multi craft stats on your profession tools, of course). Just now made 1 craft that should produce 2, got 4 instead. Am not sure if worth gearing for multicraft instead of inspiration, due to point #3 below.

2. Apart from emergency group wipe, so far I've been able to use it as a hard rez for dead healers in a group with no hard rezzes. Was also good for me stealthing back as a rogue through mobs we had shrouded, to rez the group.

3. IMPORTANT: QUALITY MATTERS.

There is a cast time, and it is dependent on quality. The cast time will, of course, will affect how effective it is as an emergency group hard rez when about to wipe.

Gold quality cast time: 2 seconds
Silver quality cast time: 5 seconds (terrible when your group is dead and the boss is about to kill you)
Bronze quality cast time: I don't know. Probably around 7.5 or 10s.

If you have a mix of gold and silver S.A.L.V.A.T.O.R.E.s, I would say use the gold for the emergency about-to-wipe fast cast, and use the silver for hard rezzing a dead healer or something. Try your Coltellino Multiuso Definitivo degli Gnomi first, of course, to save money.

4. Also important: Tell your party to wait for the bot to explode before accepting the mass rez. (Or run away really fast after accepting? It explodes 8s after it casts rez.)
