To get Zipolo di Scorta della Forgia di Firim speak with Firim located in Zereth Mortis inside the cave (Exile's Hollow).
You have to complete some main campaign quests in Zereth Mortis to unlock Firim.

Where to farm:

Enigmet di Traccia drop pretty much everywhere and often 2-3 at a time
Fili di Effimero drop mostly from middle size spheres
Particelle Eidoliche got all my drops from huge spheres in the middle, but probably they just have a lower chance to drop from smaller spheres
Tiara Cismetrica drops once and i got my drop from huge sphere in the middle of the area

How to unlock this item related activity:

Complete chapter 3 of Zereth Mortis main storyline
This will unlock the Firim questgiver
Complete several Firim quests and after you complete Materiali della creazione
Now you can talk with Firim and get Zipolo di Scorta della Forgia di Firim
Use Zipolo di Scorta della Forgia di Firim near the spheres that you see around Zereth Mortis (big and small landscape spheres)
There is a chance that you will get Fili di Effimero on use

I just received this item from a forge tap not looting an orb. The item was automatically put into my bags after the tap. The forge I used was at 38, 35. It's sitting atop a broken pillar and is leaking water.
Edit: This Aetheric lattice seems to be repeatable. Is it weekly? I do not know but with the start of the week I had another drop and was able to accept and turn in the quest for a second time. I am assuming this Aetheric Lattice quest item unlocks a reagent Aetheric Lattice currency that is needed for the Protoform Synthesis Forge in Pilgrim's Grace. But it may be worthless...

What is this item used for? The quest gives 25 gold, and doesn't progress towards the achievement. I don't understand.
