Does not drop with a coin or second kill. I just tried on Ji'arak and no go.

Same. I had already killed the Zandalar world boss when I got the quest, so I went and killed the Darkshore world boss - no item. So I can only assume it's lootable on the first kill only from the weekly world boss and doesn't include the warfront bosses. Which is awesome, gg blizz.

I wanted to put this out as a separate comment so it doesn't get buried in the comment chains of others.

There is no quest you have to be on, in order for the item to drop from the World Boss. Once you have the Quill recipe in your Inscription window, the items should start dropping from their respective sources.

I can only guess that the "quest" some people may be referring to above, is the WQ for the World Boss. Currently, in order to get the item from the World Boss, you can NOT have already looted the boss that week. Otherwise, you will have to wait until reset for the next one. This may change with the weekly reset on Tuesday, March 19. If it does, I will try to update my post.

Seems to be bugged either way, i just killed Ji'arak the first time this week and didn't get it. Maybe it just has a chance to drop and only on your first kill (where you are eligible to get normal loot).

I didn't get mine last week because I had looted Ji'arak before getting the Inscription quest. Now, having looted this week world boss, I've got this item: Antico Pigmento di Sangue Ghiacciato What should I do now? Expose it to some kind of fire or just wait until it melts? Thanks!

Hey Guys! Just got it off Azuregos. Wanted to post that since most of the comments were about it dropping off another World Boss. But can confirm it drops of ALL of them as long as the WQ is still up! Good luck!

One of the items required for crafting Penna Rosso Sangue di Lana'thel. Without it, you cannot craft any of the blood contracts.

You don't need to have daily quests available to get this - just make sure you have a character that can see them, so you can know what to kill. I didn't have the questlines complete on my shaman alt to see the daily quets, but I was still able to go to Hailstone Construct (the world quest daily this week), and kill it and got the item. :)

Oh and the item from it was ice-encased, so even if you have all the other mats, it takes 24 hours for it to thaw out and become Ancient Blood Pigment it appears.
