Also a Slow Fall effect, that means that when u fight Deathwing, ur gonna take Fall damage!

I don't follow your logic - you say that since these daggers have an on-use slow fall, the deathwing encounter will include fall damage?
But only every 5min, and only the rogue that already has the legendary daggers will be able to avoid it - doubtful.

These daggers are both awesome and annoyingly only available to rogues. While I'm glad rogues have the opportunity to get a legendary for themselves (2 at that!), I don't like the downside of the legendaries having one recipient. You win some, you lose some - good luck to those attempting the quests.

This is the partner dagger - both are awarded from the legendary chain.

For a legendary I was hoping for something a little... you know... faster...
Don't get me wrong though, 1.40 is great for an offhand! But... we have seen faster ones, and combat potency works best with a very fast OH...
Edit: Bluh... post made while mostly asleep after a long day of work... At least I'm not ranting like on the other one...
Edit 2: and now both Tiriosh and the Librarian's Paper Cutter are 1.80 speed daggers like Golad...

To start the quest for this just pick up Proving Your Worth, a quest from Lord Afrasastrasz inside the Dragon Soul raid. This is presumably only possible on Normal difficulty – we don’t have hard facts on that, but since the quest can’t be completed in LFR, it seems unlikely to start in LFR either.

Tiriosh (and Golad aswell) is a word in the language of Eredun, the tongue of the Burning Legion's demons, but the word's meaning is somewhat unknown as far as I'm concerned. Wowwiki on Eredun.

According to Vrominelli, they should be faster, but from what I know of special abilities I would want them to have speeds of like 15.0/14.0 because a special abilities damage (agian as far as I know) isn't based off of the weapons speed, but just does so much dmg based off its dmg range, and with most faster weapons being lower in the dmg range while slower weapons are higher in the range, a slower weapon does more dmg because the special abilities arent based off of weapon speed but just do the dmg and forget about the speed. So slower daggers (yet agian, as far as I know) would be much better.

If this isn't so please tell me how it does work so that I can do more dps.

Edit: After talking to some people in game, and talking to one GM, I have found out that with a rogues daggers, the Main Hand should be slow for better dps range, and then since most of your abilities dmg is based off of main weapon range, You would want the off-hand to be as fast as you can get it for faster poison application. And now that Im looking at the comment on this I see that someone already said that, so yes a Slow Main-Hand dagger, and then a very fast Off-Hand would probably be the best way to go, Im not sure though my Rogue is only 34 at this Time.

If this was not a Rogue only weapon - how many hunters would have "Derpingly put down that 2 handed Polearm and jumped on the 2x 1handed weapon wagon - ALL OF THEM!, How many shammys would have dropped that cool 2.60 offhand axe like a hot potato and begged for priority on those nice orange toothpicks? Or even abandoned the shiny staff they got the patch before - ALL OF THEM (fyi - before the legendary staff was added to the game a shaman yielding anything other than a MH/ int. Shield in Elemental was considered retarded or a noob who just bought the game ytd, but after it was added everyone was convinced that "Staffs are better and have always been better for shamans")

So if this legendary was going to be a classless melee dagger set, giving it to anything other than a rogue would have been as retarded as giving a Warglave to a warrior.

-Hunters (before MOP, after MOP they would have had absolutely no claim to this what so ever - Ironic isnt it, well go from everything being a Hunter weapon to Nothing except bows and guns being a hunter weapon) Were always meant to use a 2h Polearm - the permanent enchant is better for Dps
Enh. Shamans always meant to use slower 2.60 weapon in each slot - better for DPS
Thankfully cats cant use offhand weapons or they would have wanted in on this too.

Oh and ofcourse the main reason this was a rogue only weapon - Rogues were on their way out as a PVE class. You dont know how hard it was as a rogue to find a raiding guild, when all the mele spots were already filled by a surplus of DKs and warriors and feral cats(thank god they all rolled boomkin for 4.2), as the ONLY Pure mele, DPS only class in the game - let me tell you it was pretty tough finding a spot.

If not for this patch and these daggers - Rogues would have become the first PVP only class in the game.

Come MoP, all daggers with 1.4 weapon speed are being removed/altered. Legendary off hand dagger is no exception. It now has 1.8 weapon speed.
