Nerfed in beta build 8926. No longer adds 50 arcane/fire spell power. Now just adds 41 spell power.

lower city, theres a group of 4 tailors. when you hit 350 skill, 3 of them offer specialization quests. careful, you cant change without dropping the prof.

if you go down the arcane tree, you notice a little talent called mind mastery. this set bonus feeds on that idea. this with 5/5 mind master puts you at 32% of intel to +dmg. not bad in my opinion if you stack it on top of that talent. otherwise its kinda lackluster.

These peices really only shine when you get the set bonus with MM. For example, Mages going for these gloves should get HWL gloves until they get the set as it adds distance to Fire Blast.

I put a glowing nightseye and a potent noble topaz in this baby, gave it the fire spell enchant..

it basically amounts to 10 stam, 10 int, 27 spell crit rating, and 80 (EIGHTY!) fire spell damage!

unnhh! *joygasm* oh yeah! *quiver*

BEST. GLOVES. EVER.

Note: I could get better gems, but they're epic drops in heroic instances, this is actually 'affordable'.

go +20spl dmg so your arcane spells also benefit, arcane blast is a sick spell, and empowered arcane miscles own too, they each crit for 1.2k non trinket/ap (on my toon)

I just got my 3/3 set, but the bonus isn't registerring. I put in a ticket and they said they were gonna do something about it.

Hopefully they fix it soon, ebcause that 7% is HEFTY.

These appear to give the most +spell damage in the game (assuming you use fire obviously). Is there anything else that even comes close? I can't find anything.

ppl keep saying that shadowweave owns spellfire, but shadowweave is shadow and frost. speaking for a mage at least it depends on your prefered spec. i like arcane fire personally, obvioulsy it would be foolish for me to go shadowweave.

I'm a moonkin, I have a talent called Lunar Guidance which is Identical to Mind mastery, and I'm thinking for raids, this would be a fantastic Starfire set... Itemization in leather really isnt there, is this worth dropping mining for?

The description says "Requires Spellfire Tailoring". According to the 2.1 patch notes, tailors who respec may lose bonuses associated with their specialization (understandable). But, if the piece is made by a spellfire tailor (soulbound to him) and he changes specializations, can it still be EQUIPPED or does it become a worthless piece of junk? Please reply only if you are certain of your answer.

Erhm the total set bonus of this is better than 3/5tier 4 get the last 2 pices so you also get set bonus from tier and your going :)(for raids atleast i woudtn't recommende this set for pvp as it has a hugh lack of +sta)

Next is the Shadow Vs Spell

Shadow bonus is that very good for a mage as it often isn't that much healing it gives you so as a mage i woudt recommende an arcane fire or deepfire build and then going for this set. BUT as a warlock its 100% advides you go for the shadow set and then being affiction. DoT em up and then all the time get heals from: Life Drain, Life Tab(Isn't that the talents in affiction?) and this set bonus which is countet everytime your dots tick this can fast go up and be alot +healing if you also use your shadowbolts.

YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY A MAGE THEN!
hit is better than crit in Pve because many bosses is 3 levels or higher than you. 1 more reason hit owns crit because everyhit thats resist coudt be a possibel crit thats why hit is so nice so its not resistet

i think its foolish ppl say this is not for Warlocks. this is pretty nice for a good Destruction warlock. and with the bonus stam items at the side of this, u can rly rule PvP. Shadowweave is nice for affliction, yes. but its not that omgwtfbbq as ppl gives it credit for.

when i hit 350 tailoring i couldnt decide on shadoweave or spellfire for my lock but i went with spellfire and put 41 pts in destro and so far i only have gloves and belt and my incinerates with CoE crit for almost 4k damage i dont know if thats good or not but once i make the robe i should be pushing almost 1k bonus fire dmg...pretty insane

Introduction

Well, to start off, there are three Tailoring Specs. Spellfire, Frozen Shadoweave, and Primal Mooncloth. Each for diffrent classes/specs. They can be learned in Shatt city, southeast? of the Horde battlemasters.
Spellfire - Mostly used by Fire/Arcane mages, but also good for Destro Warlocks. The set consists of: Robes, Gloves, and a Belt.
Frozen Shadoweave - Used by Affliction Warlocks, Shadow Priests, and Frost Mages. The set consists of: Robes, Sholders, and Boots.
Primal Mooncloth - Mostly used by Holy Priests, and maybe Resto Druids? I don't know alot of this set. The set consists of: Robes, Sholders, and a Belt.

The first time you spec into one of the sets, its free. But every other time you switch, it costs 150g.

Spellfire Set

To make Spellfire Robes you'll need...

For the Netherweave, I would suggest farming some other primal, I.E Primal Fire or Water, selling them, then buying the Netherweave off the AH with that gold.

For the Arcane dust, you could use the method I suggested for the Netherweave, or if your an enchanter, run lots of instances and DE gear you get, or buy cheep greens/blues off the AH and DE them into Arcane Dust.

For the Spidersilk I would suggest going to The Black Morass aka The Dark Portal in Caverns of Time and farm the spiders there. Just don't get close to Medivh

BUT, you did make a mistake, as sad as it may be... on the Spellfire total mats, you forgot to take into the acount that you make 2 Spellcloth of the price of ONE, so you really only need 51 Primal Fire, 13 Primal Mana, and 13 Bolt of Imbued Netherweave
