Seems related to the achievement, Grand Theft Mammoth, somehow. Either earning the mount grants the achievement or something with the achievement provides the mount.

Increase your Sabellian & Irathion reputation (by completing activities at the Obsidian Citadel) to achieve La stirpe d'Ossidiana AND Lealtà al Principe.
Each of their Quartermasters/Assistant Quartermasters will then offer you one of the 2x items needed to purchase the Imbracatura del Magmammut from Yries Ditaleste.
1. Samia Inkling or Xaldrass for Stivali Antilava Forgiati dal Fatuo (800 Gold)
2. Lorena Belle or Atticus Belle for Occhiali Robusti d'Ossidiana (800 Gold)
When you use the Harness, you'll get this error message "You must be riding a stolen Tame Magmammoth.". So I tried with all 4x Tame Magmammoths tied to Domatore di mammut, but it was only working on the one in the Burning Ascent area (here's a list of all 4x just in case this might work on another one for you).

i got this mount today and its one of my most wanted in DF

What to do:
Buy both items after reaching max Reputation with both Wrathion and Sabellian:
- Netherforged Lavaproof Boots from Samia Inkling (24.6, 56.8) or Xaldrass (27.6, 56.2) -> 800g
- Sturdy Obsidian Glasses from Lorena Belle (25.2, 55.8) or Atticus Belle (26.6, 62.4) -> 800g
After that you go to the Vendor Yries Lightfingers at coords 26.37, 55.45 who is in the upper floors of the Obsidian Citadel and trade your Items for the Magmammoth Harness.

As you have the Harness now, you can go to the nearest Magmammoth (mine was at /way 33.42, 72.07 Burning Ascent).
Right-click the "friendly" Magmammoth to ride it (dont try the big one roaming around which is hostile and cant be tamed)
If you ride the friendly Magmammoth simply right-click the Harness in your bag and you get the Achievment + Mount directly in your colletion.

If your going to grind this mount out I would suggest doing it this week given next week and beyond people will be less and less inclined to spend hours in the area grinding out keys. Best area IMO due to the nerf too for grinding keys is the outdoor area and then clear mobs around where tuboris and cauldronbearer, thanks to the nerf blizzard did to the basement isn't a good option anymore currently. In which a ton of mobs will and do spawn in the basement, yet they take a long time to respawn. So its worth while to wait a bit and check the basement every so often to see if they respawned, and then clear them if they did.

The other trick I learned is that depending upon who you ally with, you can get rings for wrathion or marks from sabellian which can be turned in to their corresponding quartermaster for 50 rep each, along with can be bought off the AH. Beware they are very expensive, so only use these if you have some deep pockets to be able to buy enough of these. Then they also offer weekly quests that grant 2500 rep per turn in, in which the one you ally with will offer 3, and the other will only offer 2, meaning that whoever you ally with will essentially give one rep rank per week.

Only turn in keys to sabellian and wrathion too if you are grinding their reps, each turn in grants 250 rep, although with darkmoon faire this week and whenever its up it grants and extra 25 rep, and 225 rep for the weekly quests. It takes 34 keys in total to go up one rep rank without darkmoon, and takes 31 keys with the darkmoon buff. Make sure to watch for the event spawns too, as killing the spider and the dragon boss events will grant 250 rep per kill regardless of whether you killed it or not already. Currently you'll see the spider much more often, as people are currently allying with wrathion more over sabellian, although that is subject to change.

Make sure to kill the rares, even if you've already killed them they'll still give you fragments and are a guaranteed source for key framings, which was the hardest thing to get overall when I was grinding out the rep.

All in all its not a very hard grind to do, it just takes time and a bit of effort, personally when I did it I think I only turned in like 60 ish keys, although I did have the advantage of the darkmoon buff when I did it. Yet with a bit of effort it should only take about 2-3 days, just expect to have to massacre a lot mobs to get what you need, as for me key frames where the hardest component to the grind.

Don't forget, this week, grab the darkmoon rep buff before turning in signets and keys! Every 10 keys and 10 signet turn in gives you a free key/signet! Pretty valuable!

i have a note, if u have the bag addon arkinventory seems u can ride on the magmammoth. For me i could only ride this friendly mammoth with out arkinventory i used it from my inventory. (stand 24.12.2022)

After buying both items from the Wrathion and Sabellian quartermasters, I tried to mount all four tame magmammoth's in the waking shores without any success, i.e. I didn't get the green arrow mounting prompt at any of the four mammoths.

I then tried the first one again after looping around to all four, and found that their was a Qalashi Necksnapper present, sitting near the mammoth.
Upon aggro-ing him I got the dialog "This one's mine!"
After killing him, I was able to mount the mammoth and get the achievement and the mount.

So from my experience, you have to kill the mammoth's "owner" first and then actually "steal" the mammoth.

If you are having trouble mounting and taming Tame Magmammoth:

1. Go buy Ash Feather Amulet.
2. Find a Tame Magmammoth
3. Relog the game
4. Use Ash Feather Amulet
5. Mount the Tame Magmammoth
6. Use Magmammoth Harness

Dont know why it works but it does.

1. Magmammut Leale To get this Mount You need to do in order:

Step 1. ========================

Reach max reputation with Sabellian and Irathion True Friend. When You get it You will reach Achievements La stirpe d'Ossidiana and Lealtà al Principe.

Step 2. ========================

When You reach max reputation You will be able to Buy 3 item. First Buy 2 Items:

- Occhiali Robusti d'Ossidiana - Buy from Lorena Belle or Atticus Belle. /way #2022 26.54 62.46 Atticus Belle
- Stivali Antilava Forgiati dal Fatuo - Buy from Samia Inkling or Xaldrass. /way #2022 27.71 56.32 Xaldrass

When Get this 2 items Go to buy Imbracatura del Magmammut from Yries Ditaleste is on TOP in Obsidian Citadel /way #2022 26.39 55.42 Yries Lightfingers

Step 3. =======================

Now go to mount Magmammut Addomesticato /way 33.37 72.06, But at first kill mob next to it Spezzacolli Qalashi. If You still have problem with mount Magmammut Addomesticato You need to dismount and do /reload. When You mount Magmammut Addomesticato use Imbracatura del Magmammut.
Magmammut Leale will be added automatically as well You will reach Achievement Grand Theft Mammut.

2. Domatore di mammut is a simple Achievement, You need to mount 4 Magmammut Addomesticato and move on them to Tavok Addomestica-Mammut. You can have same problem with jumping on Magmammut Addomesticato but is same solution, You need to dismount then /reload then You will see arrow to jump on Magmammut Addomesticato.

How to do 2x4 party in spoiler:

First go on spot wher you want to do 2x4 farm. Spots:
24.6 58.1 In Basement
28.3 58.8
25 56 in Basement
Then Create party in LRG call "2x4 Key Basement WMoff gr1"

When You get to 5 please give someone who know that He need to keep max 4 please in party.

Then open new party call it "2x4 Key Basement WMoff gr2"

No just keep 4 people in 2 party

Mobs will start spawn much faster and farm will go faster to.

Step 1:

Do Quest Lealtà unica pick side Irathion or Sabellian ( but leter you can farm reputation for bouth sides ) then You will get Weekly Quest Chiavi di lealtà.
Go quick LFG for Quest and collect from mobs 30 Frammenti di Chiave and 3 Telaio per Chiave to make Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata. Now You can finish your weekly quest ( You will get 1000 rep for Irathion or Sabellian and 100 Accordo di Valdrakken.

Step 2:

Start farming Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata by finding/making party. Do events for delivered Keys. You can give Keys to 4 NPC but only 2 of them will give you reputation. All NPV next to them have other NPC showing over head how many Keys left to start event.

4 NPC Descryption, events and shop:

1. Irathion - Need 20 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to start Event Ripulisci le mura now you can kill Rare Shas'ith is in cave enter 27.2 60.9 just follow Miraveth. For making better reputation You can buy items from Atticus Belle 26.5 62.5

2. Sabellian 27.6 56.5 - Need 20 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to start Event Ombra della Morte now you can kill Rare Ombra della Morte is spawn around 30 54 but He is flying around You need to pull him. For making better reputation You can buy items from Xaldrass 27.7 56.2

3. Igys il Credente 32.3 52.5 - Need 10 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to start Event Spezzare il mondo now you can kill Rare Morchok 32.7 52.5 after giving keys wait around 4 min rare is warms up. You not making rep. with this NPC.

4. Mastro Forgiatore Bazentus 24.8 61.1 - Need 10 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to start Event Meccanismo Rastrelliera delle Armi Behind NPC around Forge will spawn wapons on ground poick up to get buff ( Only if you have lvl 70 ).

Shops of Irathion and Sabellian are almost same the difference is this: Irathion: Comò dei Mantelli Infiniti and Proto-Draghetto d'Ossidiana BUT Sabellian have Gruppo di Uova d'Ossidiana and Set: Stoffa della Tenuta Feroce di Sabellian.

Bouth of them are selling: Collare d'Ossidiana and Cappa d'Ossidiana. As well When You will get max rep. on bouth of them You will be able to buy Occhiali Robusti d'Ossidiana and Stivali Antilava Forgiati dal Fatuo. This items You need to get Mount Magmammut Leale. On bot of this comment will be spoiler with information how to get this Mount.

Reputation:

When You Giving Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to Irathion or Sabellian You will get 250 rep + 50 rep for Accordo di Valdrakken
When You Giving Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to Mastro Forgiatore Bazentus You will get 100 rep for Irathion and Sabellian 50 rep for Accordo di Valdrakken
When You Giving Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to Igys il Credente You will not get reputation at all;/.

If you standing next to Irathion or Sabellian and some one will hit 20 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata You will get 250 of them rep. just that you are close :D.
If you standing next to Mastro Forgiatore Bazentus and some one will hit 10 Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata You will get 100 rep for Irathion and Sabellian just that you are close :D.

Killing Shas'ith will give 250 for Irathion can be multiple times in a day.
Killing Ombra della Morte will give 250 for Sabellian can be multiple times in a day.
Killing Morchok will give you 50 rep for Spedizione delle Scaglie di Drago ( what and why ? don't know )

Every time you give Chiave d'Ossidiana Ripristinata to any NPC You Will get Cassa d'Ossidiana but ( i think ) every 10th Forziere d'Ossidiana open only if you have lvl 70 but you can collect them how many you want if you lower lvl.

Do Quests as well they will give you reputation to.

All rare in this location are part of Avventuriero delle Sponde del Risveglio.

For the Grand Theft Mammut achievement you need to tame a Magmammut Addomesticato in Sponde del Risveglio to get a Magmammut Leale as a mount.

Reputation farming in the Obsidian Citadel : (Daily/Weekly Quests).
Reach the maximum friendship with Irathion in the Obsidian Citadel for the Lealtà al Principe achievement.
Reach the maximum friendship with Sabellian in the Obsidian Citadel for the La stirpe d'Ossidiana achievement.
Shopping items:
Buy at Lorena Belle or Atticus Belle for 800 gold the Occhiali Robusti d'Ossidiana.
/way 25.18 55.84 Upper level Lorena Belle
/way 26.53 62.45 Lower level Atticus Belle
Buy at Samia Inkling or Xaldrass for 800 gold the Stivali Antilava Forgiati dal Fatuo.

There are three other Magmammoths that count towards the achievement Domatore di mammut.
Click on Magmammut Addomesticato and use the Imbracatura del Magmammut and you will get the achievement Grand Theft Mammut and automatically the mount Magmammut Leale in your mount collection: Magmammut Leale
If you are unable to click on the mammoth, it usually helps to reload the UI with /reload.

If u cant use the Magmammoth Harness, go to another location and use it. Worked for me.

Pretty sure you need to kill the Qalashi Necksnapper yourself in order to use the harness. Every time I tried to use it on a mounted tame magmamoth when the NPC was already dead/despawned, it would give me an error about needing to use it on a "stolen" tame Magmammoth. So I flew around until I found a location with the NPC still up, killed him, clicked on the magmammoth, and was finally able to use the harness.

Update: You don't have to kill the mammoth's Qalashi "owner", the mammoth in question just has to HAVE one.
Added for Clarity: The mammoth you want to steal is Friendly. Don't bother trying to steal a hostile Bull.

I took my mage main along with a friend's warrior (she didn't have it yet, she just dinged the other black dragon rep today) and took her over to one Qalashi Necksnapper who had a mammoth.

I peeved it off with slow and suchlike; she was able to steal the mammoth while I was in combat. (fear not, I did ok, one dead Qalashi.)

More update: I was ALSO able to ride a copy of the same mammoth. Stomped that lil guy all the way back to Wrathion just because I could.
