If you find yourself having to port back into Helheim the portal is located in Haustvald which is north of Halls of Valor.

There is many references to Dark Souls in Helheim, I think that even whole area was designed to refer to DS style in some places.

Did anyone else have the treasure chest on a ship bug out? For me, the vignette quest is complete (handynotes no longer shows the icon), but the chest is still there, with 'Empty slot' inside. Even full restart of the game doesn't seem to fix this.

Contrary to what the last quest in the zone chain may imply, you can return to Helheim after it's done by using the portal. Useful if you missed any of the rares or treasures there.

I don't know about everyone else but I felt some heavy influences of HP Lovecraft and The Shadow Over Innsmouth in this zone.

This might just be my favorite zone this expansion.

Thanks for the info, I'd really like to get back in there; Helheim is the most awesome area so far so if for nothing else, it's cool to be able to return there. But, there's a few odds and ends there that I'd like to explore and find as well.

This zone looks like a part from the game Darksouls. Theres even a Fireplace with a sword in it. Same style. Looks Great.

I would have loved this zone if it weren't for being on a PvP Realm... never usually see Alliance in the world.. But here, in the span of 30 mins, died 7 times.

The repair npcs are Kalu'ak tuskarr, so if you did the rep back in the day and don't have Forge buff, your diligence is about to pay off in spades.

I've been doing the quests down there on my shaman as a side thing since his new Artifact traits questline took him around there anyway. (He had dinged 110 before reaching Helheim, so I thought I'd do the quests now.)

There's a new cave (called the Dank Cave) in Helheim with a new elite called Jorvild the Trusted and when you confront him he angrily says he'll avenge Helya and attacks you. So it's obvious he's meant to be met after the events of Trial of Valor. Kinda weird though because I think players will now encounter him while leveling. Although he is a bit out of the way, and the cave is hard to find, but the mini-map does mark him as a star close to Soulthrister. You kinda have to look hard for the cave's entrance but it's right before the path up to the ship with Bloodbeard (who you fight for the Lantern).

I'm guessing Jorvild is meant to be a new world quest boss down the line, though, and will be stronger as usual when he is. I tend to think he should probably be a world quest-only boss though.

Warlocks make sure to turn off your voidwalker's consuming shadows because it will pull random tiny *your level critters that are as strong as regular mobs.
