Seems to be:

~10% proc chance
60 second internal cooldown
10 second buff duration

Assuming those numbers are correct, if you take a conservative average of 10 seconds to trigger each proc, then it works out at about 41 spell power bonus.
(10 / 70) * 285 = 40.71
(10 second duration every 70 seconds)

thing ring will be hard to replace i rekcon it will stay with you through even HICC 25 man for a long time i know not all the loot tables are out yet but still the Ilvl is on par with HICC 25 man and you can get it without stepping into a 25 man instance (10 man farming) so get use to this ring once you have it it's yours fro a long long long time.

and one more thing guys wipe the drool from your mouth you might damage your keyboards

Weeeellll I don't even know, I am a druid healer and although it looks okay i miss the spirit on it. Blizz always does that. Putting only mp5 on healer rings and spirit on the dps ring (see the emblem of triumph ring rewards https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=47732 and https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=47733 ofc the difference there wasn't that obvious 'cause there was no hit on the 1st ring)

Anyways there are some nice ring out there in icc25 and hicc25 but the equip effect on this one is unique.
I will definatelly get this ring and gem sp+haste in it (prolly).

I checked out a few of the priests from higher ranked guilds and see all of them with SP/Int in the socket for this. The 2mp5 bonus seems really poor to me or am I missing something?

The socket color for the bonus may seem weak, yet over all getting free mp5 for gemming haste or intellect as a shaman or paladin? Pretty sweet I'd say. And reckless for a restro druid? Hell yes. Free mp5 is free, and beats nothing.
