Just bought mine for 3k gold, bargain really. Done a few quick tests on the dummies in IF to reveal that the proc has an internal cooldown. Don't know exactly what it is as I don't use procwatch but I manually timed inbetween procs and it was roughly 45-50 seconds.

I purchased this in the AH for 1500g today and it replaced my Stained Glass ring. Its a great upgrade and the proc goes off very frequently. I'm now using this and the Mobius Band.

I'm a Mutilate rogue and according to my spreadsheet this ring for me was a 10dps increase over the the stained glass ring. Haste = more poison procs which I guess outweighs the AP decrease vs the Stained Glass ring.

Given a very basic calculation, rogue (with two weapons, one around 2.6, one around 1.4, giving an average of 2.0, meaning one attack per second), the following would apply:

45sec cooldown,
15% procc chance. given the 1 attack per second its 4-5 seconds to fire it off
13sec buff duration

so buff every 50 seconds for 13 seconds = 26% uptime of the buff
therefor the 125hr give 32.5hr in a fixed value.

please consider, that these numbers are very imprecise and can (and will) vary depending on the weapons (speed) equiped and also on the haste rating already active.

also luck adds, when waiting for the buff to come up again. however one can be lucky, too, and get the buff right after the 45sec cooldown.

So when trying to compare the ring with other rings available, you can roughly calculate with about 30-35 haste rating.

Quick note for people who can't seem to find the mob that dropped the ring for them on the "Dropped By:" list.

This is a World Drop.

It can drop off of any mob that is level 77 or higher in Northrend.

Bought one for 1999G (no not 2000!). I have been watching this ring at the AH for a while. About 3 or 4 a week show up on my realm (Thaurisan), and i never saw 2 there at a time. The cheapest i saw it go for was about 1700G and the dearest i saw it sell for was 2999. It appears currently 2000-2500G seems a fair price for one.

It procs pretty much during every fight and i love it. Its like having a 3rd trinket. If you are rich enough to spare 2000G its worth it.

For Hunters using the DPS spreadsheet,

The spreadsheet has this ring but lists only the basic stats. The Process happens approximately every minute. The Shot rotation sheets do not have the process calculated into it so you arent seeing rings full effect on DPS when the ring is listed as is. To remedy this make a custom ring with same stats in custom gear section and make haste 54. This is because with this processing 15% of the time every after a 45 sec internal cool down it comes out to be roughly 25 extra haste. Maybe a little more 25 is conservative. Buy making this custom ring you will see the actual benefit to your DPS on the sheet.

One of the things that I like about this ring's stats is that it has a chance to proc on any melee or ranged attack...and not just crits. It's nice to execute a ranged attack, have this proc, then close with melee already at the higher haste rating. Nice.

I am using this in conjunction with Mirror of Truth and Tears of Bitter Anguish. On those occasions when all three have proc'd simultaneously...wow!

I shat myself when it dropped off Coprous the Defiled, though its a world drop, so its not worth it trying to slay him all day for the ring. 1.5 KG in the bank!

Edward the Odd is quite an eccentric human Paladin. He is known for his three Items in World of Warcraft: Hand of Edward the Odd, Signet of Edward the Odd, and Will of Edward the Odd. Judging by his current three Items, it seems Edward is quite fond of Haste.

As of Wrath of the Lich King, Edward still no longer appears in World of Warcraft, but can be found in The Hunt for Illidan's Warcraft TCG set.

"Edward the Odd is a very eccentric human paladin. His nickame "the Odd" probably stems from his abnormal sense of fashion. Although Edward looks strange, he is apparently not a pushover and is referred to as "the empowered".

Droped in ICC 10 last night. Was slightly amusing to hear everyone's excitement about a Boe epic drop until they all realized it was a item level 200 ring.

Quick check of the auction house. 2 were selling for 800g each. Will most likely throw it in the guild bank for a fresh 80.
