Don't forget...the dragon's eye is a dayli quest item for jewelcrafters for whcih they can also buy new designs...which means a jewelcrafter would sell 4 days worth of a dayli quest which could also give him 2 new designs for jewels and other things. If any jewelcrafter would do that while he could still learn new designs he would certainly ask for a hefty price.

As far as I can see both this ring and its neck counterpart does not require jewelcrafting to wear and is BoE. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

One Question that no body ask them self it is worth the trouble to gain 33 spell power?

Base Ring+19 gem+19 spell= 92 spell power
ex: Heroic COT ring drop +59 spell
ex: Heroic UK Ring drop +59 spell

compare the 2 ring you gain +33 spell power.

Total cost of mats to make the ring is ~3000g

Dragon eye ~ 500gx4 =2000g
Titanium Bar ~50gx2 = 100g
Frozen Orb ~ 500g = 500g
Eternal Air ~ 40gx4 = 200g
Eternal Water ~40x4 = 200g
------------------------- = 2920gold you gain only 33 Spell Power

As a JC, I came here hoping to get insight as to whether this would be a good pattern to blow 6 JC tokens on (i.e. would it immediately get outclassed by Naxx or heroic drops). Since there's nothing here to go by, I did the comparison myself:

For reference, that's Timeworn Silken Band, Ring of the Fated, and Ring of Holy Cleansing from 10-man Naxx. From 25-man Naxx, a comparison between Lost Jewel and Signet of Manifested Pain:

Now, I don't know if I can socket a Runed Scarlet Ruby (+19 spellpower) inside the Wowhead comparison, so you will just have to imagine an extra +24 spellpower (gem + socket bonus) attached to the Titanium Spellshock Ring. In any case, the verdict is this ring is amazing, falling short of the iLevel 226 ring from KT by +36 haste, +16 Int, +4 crit, and +1 spellpower. Considering you can have this ring crafted, bought and socketed the moment you hit 80 and it will not be easily replaced until the last boss in 25-man Naxx makes this a good deal. Certainly, depending on how much you value another hearth to Dalaran every hour, it is better than the Signet of the Kirin Tor which costs 6800g+.

I'm a 53/18 FFB spec Mage and I've been checking up on gear upgrades using Maxdps.com. According to them this is listed as the 2nd highest DPS ring available at the moment (equipping a +19 damage gem) with the Naxx 25 ring from KT (Signet of Manifested Pain). As you can only wear one, why not have this as your #2! :D

DO NOT put a Runed Dragon's Eye into this ring. It has a RED socket in it so you can put a Runed Scarlet Ruby in there if you're after spell damage. Dragon's Eyes are prismatic and fulfill the socket requirements of ANY color gem slot - use it for a socket color which by matching normally would require a less preferred gem.

Best in slot for a shadow priest til Naxx 25, and even then, it's second or third. Extremely, extremely worth the mat grind.

as a mage i love this ring with +19 spellpower gem also u get the +5 socket bonus and if u have chanting u can throw a +19 spellpower enchant on this.

I'm a holy pally...I am comparing this to https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=37192 I am just wondering what you everyone thinks is better. They have the same int, 10 less psell power, crit and the other has haste. Any ideas?
