Elitist Jerks entertains the possibility of a 0/31/40 resto shaman dual wielding Earthliving Weapons. They mention this weapon by name as probably the best OH in the game if you were going to do that (since they probably are going to nerf all one hand weapons with spellpower to be MH only). As a resto shaman, I know it's probably not viable (they even mention it only if you're a chain heal bot), but I can't help but smile thinking about how cool that would be.

It's the only 1.3 speed melee weapon in the game that's actually useful at level 80. Note it's not unique so you can actually equip two of these babies for some imbah poison apply speed.

A dream off-hand for fist/dagger combat rogues imo.

i use these with twin mongoose. With all haste procs up i have been down at .4 speed. My DPS at that point was over 4k .
i highly recomend these for any mute pve build

Reasoning: Whilst Mutilate damage is higher with slower weapon the faster speed means more, albeit smaller, crits proccing https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=51637 allowing more Mutilates. Combine that with more poison procs (again due to the faster speed) and you get an overall gain in DPS.

I'm curious how it would do as an offhand for a combat fist/dagger spec. Combat potency procs would be amazing.

Only thing that confuses me about this dagger is there is absolutely 0 AP on it. Yes, it makes up for it with its speed but still a little odd.

Anyone care to give an exact rotation for the mutilate dps in PvE? I hear you speaking of 4k dps at certain points, but with what rotation ? Playing rogue myself and this sounds really interesting after some terrible experiencs with combat lately. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I cant get over 1,9k dps with combat fist atm. Please post your rotations as mutilate dps ;)

The intresting thing about this dagger is that it can be used as a Meele DPS weapon, a Caster DPS weapon AND a Healer weapon.

I found two of these in the AH for 150g a piece. Doesn't that seem a bit low?
With the 1.3 speed and the 130dps, I was expecting a bank breaker.
Can't complain, won't complain; Just questioning my luck.

I just bought 2 of these (I'm Muti spec) for 18G & 22G (happy days).

Luckily I checked here first before I handed over my mats for Titansteel Shanker (was still in the mindset that epic = better!)

Yes... I'm sure every caster/healer will want this for its amazing spellpower boost.

If you read the post I was replying to instead of jumping straight to sarcasm (I appreciate smart sarcasm, "tl;dr I read one sentence" sarcasm on the other hand, I do not.) you will realize that he said be prepared to roll against casters and healers for this.

I was wondering, should I put this in my OH or MH ?
If I put it in my MH, what OH should I get?

I currently have the Shanker MH + 20 Agility (I was poor) and the LPC with mongoose on OH and I'm toying with the idea of keeping the shanker for PvP and use the spare LPC in my bank as MH - also putting Mongoose on.

Elemental Shamans can also dual-wield a Caster Weapon (Main Hand) and this dagger in the off-hand.

With Flametongue Weapon and Elemental Weapons, this off-hand can grant you...

+ 274 Spell Power.
+ 26 Critical Rating.
+ 46 Haste Rating.

Just compare any shield currently in game with these stats to get an idea of how good is this.

(Though getting Dual-Wield as Elemental would currently only work for somewhat uncommon builds, such as this one)

This is a great dagger for Mut rogues, i have currently equiped two of these for pvp with mongoose and titansteel weapon chain and this does massive damage in minimum time.

A caster can use this. It doesn't have an Int bonus, but none of its stat bonuses are inappropriate for a caster because we now use a single Critical Strike rating and Haste rating for both melee and spells. Stam is always good. Its critical strike is lower than most daggers of its level, but it's unique among level 200 caster daggers for the Haste it provides.

Have your caster grab the Loremaster title, the Well-Read achievements, the Inscription profession, a book-shaped off-hand and this dagger, and you turn him into a librarian or sage.

could anyone tell me what would be a good replacement for this one? i bought it pre 3.1 but my dps has somewhat lowered since the patch and it kinda anoys me :P And another question i like to have answered: are most 1.8 speed daggers better than this one for mut since 3.1?

I have this on my rouge, its pretty good for poison application.
on a side note,It must be used to cut pretty tough paper. then again EVERYTHING is tougher in Northrend, even the fish:

I use a pair of these with my old world questing gear. Makes grinding lots of one-hit kills a lot faster than 3.8/3.6... or at least feels that way.
