As expected, the ring is amazing. No wasted item budget on stats like agi, str or block rating make it a perfect ring for warriors in any situation. Finally a ring with both block value AND expertise, making it the best TPS ring in the game, while still having enough armor/stamina/defense to be able to be worn in progressive raids.

Think we can all agree that a this ring is outstanding and tailored to shield using tanks ie. warriors and paladins. So even if i play a druid, it should be passed to those first.

But any druid would be lucky to get this, and they should get first pick over any nontank spec warrior or paladin, if used as a tank by the guild.

This is the first mitigation ring, i have come across which also provides any kinda threat value at all. And threat is a bitch to generate in sunwell, for druids because of the innate sunwell radiance buff, all mobs have. I tank in my BT/badge/kz ring gear and have so many misses/dodges/parries, that expertise is my most covered stat atm. When that stat comes along with armor, def and high stam, i cannot care about shield block rating and wasting it. This ring is the number 1 for druids, and as such anyone who comments that druids should quit the game if they use dkp for it, should reroll Age of Conan imo.

Yes, this is still quite a way ahead of other tanking rings for a druid, with armour, defense and expertise it is excellent for both survivability against mobs with the parry mechanic but also excellent for building threat with or without said mechanic.

Granted it has block rating but to say this is not a druid ring (or more specifically useful for an endgame tanking druid) is an incredibly ignorant thing to say.

Perhaps you wouldn't take it over a warrior for this reason but it is still streets ahead of other rings.

This would be a considerbale upgrade for tanks of any class thus far, I would give priority to the MT(99.9% warriors) due to the shield block. As an OT would most definitely open this option up for druids after the MT has gotten this.

I'll Be honest and i reallllyyy hate to say this but this ring is also the second best for a Feral druid, the only stat on here that we cant use is the Block rating of course but the other stats by far are better than

This is by far the best tanking ring in the game for druids. We severely suffer in the threat departments, due to lack of hit/expertise on gear; warriors with a "standard" gear with a set from 4/6 sunwell have the capability to nearly reach the parry portion of the expertise cap, on top of a significant amount of hit, without even attempting to gem or gear themselves with said attributes.

A druid, on the other hand, can't even hit the dodge portion of the expertise cap, on top of horrible hit.

I'm a druid in a guild working on phase two of m'uru, and I have obtained basically every single hit/expertise gear that a druid can ideally get in this game with the exception of this ring. In my "standard" tanking set ( that is, I did not go out of my way to specifically gear for more threat), I only have 50 hit rating and 12 expertise ( -3% dodge/parry, from t6 boots and collar of the pitlord). It sucks.

This ring also has a significant amount of defense, which is yet ANOTHER thing that druids struggle with: maximizing survivability with the idea of critical immunity always at the back of their mind.

This ring is also an upgrade for druids from the exalted karazhan ring, which is currently the third best ring in the game for a druid tank ( the 60 badge vendor ring is currently the second best). I hope that the statement should leave you with the impression that this ring is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade, one of the largest a feral druid can obtain in this game. This is a huge upgrade in the form of survivability on top of threat, and no amount of meager block value will get between myself and this ring.

Warriors or paladins don't even get a 1% survivability upgrade from the shield block value. Against a 10k hit ( a little higher than the average Entropius or void sentinel hit), this ring is only a .42% survivability upgrade from physical damage, which means that the block value's effectiveness is further degrated. Expertise is also largely "wasted" on warriors and paladins. As noted before, warriors in a 5/6 guild -WILL- be over the dodge cap, which means that this ring is half as effective to them than it is for a druid tank. A druid tank will more likely than not get reduced dodge and parry rates, while warriors only gain further parry reduction. Ultimately, this ring is a MUCH bigger threat and survivability upgrade for the druid than a warrior.

Expertise is also not a "primary" stat for a paladin. I'm not sure, but I believe that the primary method for paladins to get aggro consists in the form of spell damage, and not hit or expertise. I haven't met a paladin who specialized in expertise/hit over spell damage, ever, which further devalues this ring for them.

Ultimately, the meager block value that this ring has is not enough of a justification for druids to simply get passed over this. In my eyes, a druid tank has the most to gain from this ring, followed by a warrior, and then paladins. This is an item itemized PERFECTLY for feral druids with block values attached to it. I'd also have to go out and say that this item is one of best itemized items in the game for a feral druid tank. It has everything without crappy attributes such as "dodge ratings" or hybrid stats that allow a druid to also DPS with his feral "tank" gear, items that ultimately lessens the effectiveness of a pure druid tank.

I guess there's no need to add that this is the best prot paladin mitigation ring available, but it bears mentioning that in SWP gear expertise is a better threat stat than spelldamage is, so this is the best threat ring for them too.
