This item is the reward of one of the funniest quest in all WoW.
I was very bored one day and start walking around WestFall and suddenly I found the treasure map.
Very fun!. Now I wear this shirt all the time.

I went to go buy Rumsey Rum Black Label, and deciced to stay to watch the Ashbringer lore. I was about to leave and I noticed a pirate was gonna show somone his ship, so I decided to follow. Then I see this chest and unfortuanly misread what he said...I read "and a bag that can hold 18 whole apples!" what really was said "and a bag that can hold 8 whole apples!" So I rounded me up a rogue and found out you cant open this with LP.

Many consider this shirt to be the unofficial Fishing shirt. I sure went and farmed it for that express purpose... Looks absolutely stunning alongside my Blue Overalls. :)

This shirt goes famously well with Fishing gear, e.g. Blue Overalls.

When I was getting a Fishing set together, I just HAD to go farm this in Westfall. It's the non-official Fishing shirt!

This may sound silly but one of the reasons I love this shirt is how great it looks with certain chest pieces!

The shirt is pretty much flesh tone if you have a fair skinned character. Around the neckline is a gold design with a sort of pendant at the center. If you have a chest piece that is low enough in the front, the neckline looks like a necklace and since the shirt is so light, you don't even notice the edges of it. You just look like you have a gold necklace on!

I can't take credit for noticing this, I got a whisper asking how I got my necklace to show up on my character! I had just got a new chest piece that was low cut enough for the shirt to be seen.

Kill murlocs along the western coast of westfall for a while, until a treasure map drops, drop rate is quite low but its a nice quest to do if u want a deckhand shirt or just wanna do some grinding. The treasure map sends you first to a locker beached alongside a wrecked ship with a rusty anchor (the ship i believe is just south of the quarry off the shore). Then west to a ruined chimney which is just north of the alexton farmstead, then north to a windmill just off the shoreline (its really not that hard, the quest directions are pretty good) then finally west from the windmill into the water and onto an island where you can open a chest which contains: some silver, an 8? slot bag, this shirt, and a red sash (belt). Not really what i would class as treasure but essential for every pirate. (by the way you can not skip the locations and go straight to the end, its like a chain quest, you have to do each part)

I got this quest after 10 kills from an Oracle in Westfall. Btw, the jug is in a small camp right next to the windmill.

Does this quest work for th horde as well? If not is there any way to get a red linen sash as a horde character? All help is appreciated

i got a treasure map off a murloc in westfall... it starts an easy chain of quests and u get 4 rewards at the end i dont remember the rest i think there was a sash or something as well

This is one of several rewards you get from completing the Captain Sander's Treasure quest. I got it while killing Murlocs along coast of Westfall. It starts when one of them drops a treasure map so its a random quest. The map and the Captain's clues lead you all over Westfall. But at the end is a treasure chest on a deserted island with gold, a red sash, some silver bars i believe and this fine shirt!

All in all, a fun quest to do when you want a break from the level grind.

I have been wearing this since I got it. Mainly I like it because it's essentially sleeveless. It goes over the shoulders a little but it leaves the arms uncovered. Great for showing off your manly muscles in armor (if that's your thing).
