An item with fairly decent stats for a caster along with a one-hand such as Bloodcaller or Mageblade. However, you also will have access to the several tomes available from Alterac Valley, which each have more spell damage. It's a matter of balancing stamina and spell damage.

Honor system changed

To get items , you dont need rank anymore but honor and AV, exemple: High Warlord's Battle axe requires 45,500 honor and 40 AV marks

The 2-h weapons , bow , gun , crossbow and epic armor requires : 45,500 honor and 40 AV mark.

The 1-h weapons , daggers , swords , daggers , maces, axes and blue armor requires: 22,500 honor and 40 Arathi Basin Marks

Later you can also go to arena and get arena points for better weapons but only at lvl 70 at lvl 1-60 you can only do practise arenas

Absolutely best for Arcane Mage. I use in combo with lvl 60 epic caster dagger.
And I guess I will have it till raiding on 70.

I'm leaning toward the tome because its cheaper and is more raw damage. The rest of the HWL set gives you all the stamina you could want...any input?

ide go with the ToD cause; it has more raw damage and more stats... im a shadow priest i know where your com'n from

This + HWL Spellblade and a +30 spell dmg enchant = +122 spell dmg.

That'll really bump up your spell damage.

I use this as part of my 16/45/0 Fire Mage's mainly-PvP gear set, along with the Vindicator's Silk stuff, the Gladiator's Regalia, as well as the Bands/Pendant of Dominance and the High Warlord's Spellblade.

It's a good item, even at 70.

The Intellect and Stamina are a good compliment to the rest of the items I mentioned, and 20 SPD is nothing to scoff at.

It's only like 12k honor, and 20 AB marks. Pick it up, if you can use it.
