Caught this item two times within about 30 minutes fishing off the coast of STV. Both East and West side. Fishing Skill was 157 and attached nightcrawlers adding 50 to fishing skill. Without the additional skill fish kept getting away. No need to buy nightcrawlers while fishing you can kill a Zanzil Hunter and they drop frequently.

You can now buy this for 2s a piece in the Old Hillsbrad instance in the Caverns of Time, from the bartender in the Southshore inn.

Unfortunately you will not be able to stack the buff with food buffs after patch 2.1. From patch notes:

This is a great item for twinks. Its a free 150 hp you didn't have before. No level requirement makes it wonderful.

Only booze in the game that has no cooldown aside possibly from the other weaker rums (haven't bothered to check) and some of the stuff u get during brewfest. Great for getting smashed in 0.24 seconds. I always get stacks of the stuff whenver I'm at CoT.

In my experience the +stam buff on this drink does not stack with food buffs *at all*, not just +stam food buffs. As a Warlock, when I eat Blackened Basilisk (+23 spell damage, +20 spirit), then drink this, it removes my Well Fed buff. Vice versa, if I drink this, then eat Blackened Basilisk, it removes my Rum (+stam) buff.

Has anybody else experienced this?

If your realm is full of twinks (like mine) you could probably make a killer selling stacks of these. Lazy twinks would buy these as fast as they can off the AH, and a stack of 20 can sell for as much as 10g.

You may not think that buying this from the vendor then reselling it to twinks is not good for money, well just take a look at this

Each Rumsey Rum Black Label is 2s from the vendor

Say you buy 250 Rumsey Rum Black Label from the vendor that is 5 gold right there

After buying the 250 Rumsey Rum Black Label you can resell to the AH for 5g for a stack of 10 of these

Meaning 250 Rumsey Rum Black Label selling for 5g for 10 is approximatly 125g since you have to buy from the vendor and the AH takes a Small cut

You Spent about 5g buying all of them and a gold for posting all of the Rumsey Rum Black Label

and Made about 119g Profits total, Its completely Worth it imo, everytime I go to Caverns of Time, I fill my bags at the end of the night and then sell them on the AH, Made me about 1000g in about 1 Week just from doing Hyjal 3-4 times a week since we are progressing

A must-have drink for every twink out there. The best possible buff-drink for 10-19 bracket atm in WoW.
How to get?
Put your 70+ main to go to Old Hillsbrand instance (no need to be in party).
Get inside, don't take dragon to fly, and head to Southshore Inn using your mount.
The Innkeeper has endless rum to sell.
Make sure you have emptied all your bags before you start moving there.
Buy those rum 2 silver each (20 silver per stack of 10).
Last time i was there today, i bought around 750 rums for 15g! Now the 2nd twink-guild bank tab is full.
Advice: No need to overuse it - like after death. Learn to use when the wsg raid is promising and going for a win.
Regarding cloth twinks:

https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=20744 should always be up and ready.
If you don't have a twink and you are going for gold, then again it is some nice opportunity to resell @ AH for a lot of gold. Try 3-4 stacks per time in AH, not all you have together.

HERE IS HOW YOU GET RUMSEY RUM BLACK LABEL:

ok so first you need to go to Caverns of time in Tanaris, and talk to that dragon. He'll give you a free ride down to where everyone is.

Go to the western instance thing (DON'T LISTEN TO THE CRAP ABOUT FORESTS AND SWAMPS). basically, once your in there you can run down to the southshore in the instance and buy your rumsey rum.

Don't worry about mobs, the highest is like lvl 23 or so.

The rumsey rum is 2s per (20 silver per stack of 10)

To Get RumseyRumBlackLabel u have to go to tanaris then go to caverns of time.
Then you will find some kids inside some purple circles. When you find a circle where you can take a quest from one of the kids.Take the quest and follow the lady around caverns of time.When you are done go to the entrance to the left.
When you have entered the other side go to the village. If u have been in Hilsbrandfoothills you will notice it looks exacly the same. Go to the village and enter the inkeepers house. The inkeeper there sells you RumseyRumBlackLabel for 2s.

If you are some what rich, go into the Caverns of Time and go into Old Hillsbrad, and go to Southshore, talk to the barkeep and he will sell you this drink. You can buy lots and lots of these and sell them on your Auction House from 2g-4g. You will make some quick profit. These are good for twinks so if you have any, make sure you save at least 4 stacks for yourself.

1. Can either find from random crates from fishing pools.
2. Can also be bought from Barkeeper Kelly in Old Hillsbrad Field for 2 silver - Anyone lvl 66 and up to actually enter the dungeon - The is a portal in Dalaran in the palace that takes you to the cavern of tiems so get a mage to port you to dalaran to get to there - The atlas is a add on from Curse.com witch shows you maps of the dungeon in game or you can find a map of it on here

ANd since 1.9 you can't have more then one food or more then one drink buff at a time.

But you can eat the wolf steaks(+sta) and drink the two buffs from DM tribute(+sta and +spi).

i found this stuff in Old hillsbrad foot hills in tanaris keepers of time section. u can BUY this stuff from a barkeep in Old Hillsbrad the barkeep is located inside the inn at Southshore just 2s each! barkeeps name is Barkeep Kelly. i empty all my bags and filled them with this stuff and only spent 6g... not bad ill be back for more when i run out =)

Confirmed that it sells from Kelly In the dungeon Old hillsbrad .. dont need to find a group to get there! no mobs on the way :).. best to get 2 bags full so ya dont keep going back :P when your in just head down till you run into a town

I looked it up and Old Hillsbrad is an instance in the Caverns of Time. Just go to Gadgetzan and head SE to the mountain range by the sea. The entrance is on the West side of the mountains (an opening with path leading in). Go down caverns to the bottom and pass blue spell circle on floor and its the next instance on the right.

Unfortunately now to enter the instance Old Hillsbrad you need to have a prereq quest done called The Caverns of Time. Too bad for a 44 like myself whos too low to do the quest.

Ok..I've had about enough headaches trying to find this dood and the full rundown on getting Rumsey Rum Black Label..So heres all you need to know!

First..You need to go INTO The Caverns of Time located in eastern Tanaris

Once you're in CoT via the taxi dragon, head west. This will put you into the Old Hillsbrad instance..Yes, you'll need to be somewhere around 60something to get in..No prereq though!

So..You're standing in Old Hillsbrad looking like some funny little twig of an alliance char..eww..right?

Anyway..follow the path 'till you get to the dragon and NPC..impossible to miss..Just head dirrectly south to the town..not west..not east..south..hence "Southshore"

Ohh..Edit: have 2-3 tubes of bengay on hand as the clicking to buy the ^&*! is tedious!

Alright ya gotta be at least lvl 66 to get into old hillsbrad

foothills. once you get there take the dragon over to durnholde

keep. travel south and youll see southshore. if you have an

alliance youll already know where the inn is so go in it. for

horde its a big building, not hard to find. once your in youll

see all of the bosses from SM discussing the undead and the

making of the ashbringer. past that youll see a bartender.

THATS HIM! he sells an unlimited amount of rumsey rum black

label for only 2s. It is an instant (you dont need to sit down for 10 sec)

and you can be in combat and still use this item. It gives a

nice 15 stamina buff and "gets you drunk to boot". Okay there

are 3 stages of being drunk. 1. You feel tipsy wheee! 2. You

feel drunk whoa!3. You feel completely smashed. tipsy only

makes the screen a little blurry, drunk makes it more hazy and

makes you walk wobbly, smashed makes it very blurry and makes

you walk very unbalanced. DONT WORRY! This only makes you feel

tipsy. The tipsy affect only lasts 1 minute while the stamina

affect lasts 15 minutes. being tipsy dosent affect your ability

to play at all. This is a very nice item for a level 19 twink.

You can be ANY level to use this item and just incase you didnt know this is expendible. HAVE FUN!

If your looking for this item you can find it at Caverns of Time in Tanaris only 2s a peice and it's very useful, also you can post it up on AH for some good money. You should be 66+ 2 go into caverns of time. :P

quest called caverns of time (i'm lvl 61 so i can't go in :( )

Rumsey Rum Black Label Guide:

First off, you will need a character who is at least level 66. If you don't have that, this guide will be useless.

Now, make your way to Tanaris, which is the Desert in which Gadgetzan is. Head southest of Gadgetzan, and you will find The Caverns of Time (This is around 65,50 for those with coordinates).

If you've never been to Caverns of Time before, you'll need to do a few prerequisite quests, which consist of talking to people and following them around. Once you've done these quests, you're ready to head into the Old Hillsbrad Foothills instance.

Where is this instance, you may ask? Just take a look around the small chamber at the end of the Caverns of Time, and head down the path with an Alliance tower at the start of it. Go through the instance portal, and you'll find yourself in a similar path. Head up this and you'll be inside Old Hillsbrad Foothills.

Look familiar? You'll start at what should be the Yeti Cave. Then head down to Southshore. Alliance players should know where this is. For Horde players, this is the Alliance town of Hillsbrad (yours being Tarren Mill), of course you would've noticed by now that you have a Human Disguise, so you're not going to be attacked.

Now that you're in Old Southshore, head into the inn (this is the last building on the left). And you'll see a few familiar faces (Namely Arcanist Doan and Fairbanks from Scarlet Monastery, you'll find the other bosses of SM if you have a good look around the town). The NPC of interest to you will be Barkeep Kelly, who surprisingly, is behind the bar. He's the guy who will sell you your Rumsey Rum Black Label.

1. It can be gotten from the bartender in southshore in the caverns of time instance in tanaris. Req. 66 and a small quest that can be done when you get in there to enter.

2. Yes it does still sell from the barman , whoever said they removed it is being stupid.

3. Yes it raises your stamina by 15, that's 150 extra health, great for 19 twinks!

4. It makes you "tipsy" which makes the screen slightly blurry but other than that it's fine, should wear off after 1 minute but the stamina stays on for 15.

5. It stacks in 10 per stack and costs 2 silver each from the barkeep at southshore (go SOUTH once in the instance)

6. This information is confirmed as of 03 March '08 at 17:52, defias brotherhood server, alliance.

Barkeep Kelly in Southshore in OHB.

That's Old Hillsbrad, an instance in Caverns of Time, in Tanaris.

Not Southshore in Eastern Kingdoms/continent.

Believe you must do a prereq quest in CoT before entering OHB. Can't remember the level requirement for it.

Ok, just looked it up; quest is Caverns of Time, available at level 68.

Available to Horde as well as Alliance. Horde are transformed into humans when entering OHB.
