I hate that my cloth-armored characters are practically forced to look like every other mage and warlock out there. By the time your cloth wearer hits 70, it's going to be difficult to avoid dressing them in a robe and arming them with a staff, but there are some alternatives if you work at them. This is the third item in a sequence that gets you from 36 almost all the way to 80, showing some leg without having to sacrifice much (if anything) at the leg armor slot.

Combine these items with a tunic in the chest slot and a tabard, and you can keep your female toons in a practical and attention-getting kit that's an alternative to the traditional (yech) robes and dresses.

Needless to say, this sequence is for leveling and daily grinding only. If you're gonna PvP or Raid, these will not all suffice, especially at endgame. (By the time you get to 60, you'll want a separate kit for PvP and another for Raids, anyway)

36 to 50 : Black Mageweave Leggings (BoE, Tailoring)
51 to 56 : Cindercloth Pants (BoE, Tailoring)
57 to 70ish : Abyssal Cloth Pants (BoE, Quest Objective Drop - quest starts here)
70ish to 80 : Pants of the Naaru (BoP, Quest Reward in the Arcatraz Key quest chain - start here)

The latter set will take you almost all the way to 80, especially if you enchant them with a Sapphire Spellthread. There are enchants available from Tailors or on the AH for all of these items except the Black Mageweave Leggings.

Once the item is forged or soulbound does the enchantment appear relavent to the weapon level and status?

Thats a pathetic price and it will drop a lot very soon. They are not that hard to get. I have already gotten 3. 2 cloth and a leather one.

How do you know this is true about the crit-chance, Ymmi? Are you just making an educated guess? I sure would like to know because all I can find is speculation. If you think they are expensive now - I can only imagine how much they'll be if it DOES end up being +crit/spells. 15stam, 15int, +18dam AND +1% to crit with spells? These would definintely be one of the best blue caster-pants in the game (pre-ZG). C'mon - Blizz. What the hell is this Rockbiter 3 bug?

Every other Abyssal Pants has 1% chance to crit something. but they also could've been going the route of

which would not be good for pants of restoration, not as good as the %spell crit (which a lot of people say is even kind of weak for healers). And I think melee and spell crits are "worth the same" on a item to each respected person, a physical damage dealer (war hunter rogue shaman) or a spell caster (mage warlock balance druid shadow priest, whatever).

Saw these in the AH for a 65G buyout. I never clicked so fast...

lolz. on warsong they go for 100-150g. when i got mine they cost around 150g. when i got it, there were 2 on the AH- 1 for 150g, the other for 7g =D
and im not going to replace them until i get either felheart or nemesis. i think that they would b epic if it had 1 or 2 more spell dmg.

mine has Rockbiter 3 on it wtf?..and the "+18 Damage and Healing Spells" is in white writing and not in the normal green and in its position.

The pants of sorcery also has rockbiter 3 on them.
It adds 80 attack power just like the shaman buff.

People over in Thottbot are saying that the Rockbiter 3 listing only appears when it is in the AH or posted in a link.

I just got a pair this morning and haven't had a chance to confirm that. I hope it is true. My understanding of Rockbiter is that it may give you plus attack power but it also raises your threat level. Just what I want: more aggro.

i was thinking of buying this one. what i have is postmaster's trousers (The Postmaster's Trousers it be an upgrade in terms of +damage and healing? or should i just stick with what i have now? i'm a priest, btw and only been to baron twice so the chances of me getting the devout legs is pretty low. any advice?

The key word here is pants. This is more of a loin cloth, but cool nonetheless.
