It's the new starting pvp gear like

This set is going to be "pvp rare set 3" as the third expansions starter pvp gear. It's going to be aquired in a different way, instead of getting high rep for factions to buy pieces from the quartermaster like in BC, we'll only need honor like the pre-BC pvp set except this set will require some arena points, no rating is needed.

is this set and the hateful gear only arena points and not added with BG points? like the savage verison?

The Chest, Legs, and Gloves currently drop off of Archavon the Keeper in Heroic: Vault of Archavon. Upon being killed (25 man), He drops 2 pieces of T7 (Legs/Gloves/Chest * 25 man set), and 2 pieces of Deadly Gladiator.

On Normal difficulty, he drops one piece of T7(10 man), and one piece of Hateful Gladiator.

It will remain this way until Dec. 16, when it will (most likely) be available for Arena points / combo of Honor and Arena points.

I remain to have seen any verification of this, so it is possible, though not likely that a new set will come out.

this takes into account the set bonus.

What I really hate is that all the classes besides warriors and druids (as far as I've checked, maybe 1 more class) have new 4 piece set bonuses for the WotLK PvP sets. The lowered intercept cooldown is good bringing it to 15 seconds, but for PvP you go arms, and in arms you stay in battle stance (atleast a regular arms spec you do), it would be wasting much rage switching stances over and over again.

It would be cool if they change it to "Intercept is now usable in Battle Stance", or would that be too OP? Or if they want to keep adding to talents they could improve the chance of a hamstring immobilization happening.
