Random world drop in outland from mobs at 60-70, but seems to also drop in zul'amana according to wowhead drop list.

well this sucks.
Blood Knight Pauldrons are exactly the same except way larger than the shoulders in this plate set.
Give the large size shoulders to plate wearers!

This set uses the Gold variant of the "A5 Plate" artwork and forms six pieces of a seven-piece set of the art.

There's A5 Plate artwork for shoulders for this set but it hasn't been used by anything available in the game. There isn't any artwork for a helm, however. So neither head nor shoulders actually belong to the same artwork as the rest of the set, nor can pieces be found that do. Just pick whatever you feel matches best.

There are four other colour variants of this set in the database but only three of those seem to be available as sets in the game. Two are plate and one is mail. See:

Black: Conqueror's Plate (Recolor)
Red: Bloodscale Plate
Copper: Brigade Mail (mail set not plate)
The missing colour is "Silver", which would be silver and wine red. There's one set of boots in mail which would give you an idea of the colouring: Stivali d'Acciaio Lucidi

A nice alternative shoulder can be Spallacci dell'Araldo dell'Alba which is a better match then the Conqueror Shoulders itself. Although, the perfect match is Spallacci dell'Alba d'Acciaio that is only available for the lucky Blacksmiths

The Embroidered Cape of Mysteries is an orange cloak, which suits this set.
Also dual-wielding Truncheon of the Five Hells looks great with it too.
Hop on Flameward Hippogryph and you're golden!

If you are considering this set for transmog, use Wowhead's "view in 3D" option to see how the set will look on *your* character. On a blood elf female for example, the boots are more "slim" in appearance and the gap between the boots and the legplates are more noticeable (at least to me anyway). Magmaw Tempered Boots from Garr in Molten Core complement this set and cover the gap as well.

Personally, I found Lightforge Spaulders (See Also: Replica Lightforge Spaulders) to be the best match for this set.

Throw in a Sunward Crest and you can rename your character "Midas".

Just a little tips to people who want the gear, etc some of the pieces of Conqueror's Plate
Farming "npc's" for the gear is not good, because the drop chance is very low.
I got the gear fast after doing some few daily quests in Outland.
The item you get from doing these quests is Forniture del Sole Infranto 1x.
The chance of getting any of the Conqueror gear is 2%, i personally got the chest on my second daily quest.

The list of daily quests are:
Distruggere il varco ( This quest requires that you have completed La magistra scomparsa, with also ends with "one" of the daily quest npc's Magistra Seyla
Alla scoperta delle tue radici
Intercettare le batterie di mana
Alimentare il portale per il Pozzo Solare
Piani d'attacco dei Furia del Sole
Alla riscoperta delle tue radici

I found that using this set along with Paraspalle dell'Artiglio di Draco looks really badass! It scales perfectly with the shade of red on the helmet. For tanking i'd use Distruttore del Teschio Insanguinato (Most badass mace in-game IMHO), and to make the mace look even larger: Deflettore Draconico! Voila! Now you look like the king of footsoldiers!

For the extras, I used the following (as a tank):

1h sword: Stocco Fiammeggiante
Shield: Scudo Urlante
Cloak (though usually hidden): Mantello di Stoffa Luminosa

I think, once I hit 85 (if I keep this mog set) I'd look to replace a few items, but at level 68, these were really cheap to pick up, all available on the auction house :)

Paraspalle di Iperione work well with this set. They have the same red / yellow coloring as the set shoulders, but are larger and not nearly so plain.

Using the full set with Specchio di Cromie Martello Infuocato di Galgann and Mantello Risplendente as my Prot Pally set on the Zul'jin server. May swap the shield out but as a Draenei I like this style.

Tabard: The Lorewalkers Tabard looks great with this set.
Legs: A decent replacement (if you cannot find the legs) is: Gambali Corazzati dell'Effige delle Stelle
Shirt: Something good to fill in the space left by the chest piece is Doppiopetto Filigranato d'Oro

This set works really well with Paraspalle Ango'rosh Recuperati, a quest reward from Lo Spirito Lordato in Nagrand.

Why isn't Elmetto del Conquistatore included in this transmog set?
Guardaspalle a Piastre di Uvuros make a good option for this set.
Scudo di Bayeaux is the best match for shields.
Maglio del Cavaliere del Sangue for 2-handed weapons.

While I found a lot of great suggestions here to complete the look on this set, the one item I don't see enough suggestions of is the headpiece. I'd like to suggest Lionheart Helm. Its color matches that of the set perfectly, and if you're using a tabard you won't see the little red that the chest has.

As for weapons, I've found that Spirit-clad Mace also fits the color scheme well for that all gold look. Blesswing Hammer works if you're using the Swiftsteel Shoulders or a lookalike.

But the one I'm going to use is Firethorn Mindslicer Which is an awesome xmog for tanks or dw dpsers in spite of it being originally a caster weapon

I've been farming Shadow Labyrinth and Magister's Terrace on heroic for transmog items for close to a week. This set isn't what I was going for, but I've gotten nearly all of it.

For warriors, like myself, and currently looking for a helmet that fits this set I want some suggestions other than the normal counqueror's helmet.

Personally for shoulders I am going to use Swiftsteel Shoulders and so far I haven't been able to find a perfect matching helmet that is more of epic quality that is allowed for warriors to wear.

In the case of paladins I think this helmet looks very good and it's a shame it's a class restriction on it: Valorous Redemption Faceguard

One helmet I've been looking at is Haunted Steel Headcover and it's the closest I've come to find a matching helmet that is more of an epic quality.

There might be some helmets I've missed that are working, but it's really hard to find something golden that suits for warriors to transmog into.

For one-handed weapons I found my liking in Crusader's Glory

I like my Bloodfist Epaulets with this set. They have a red and gold pattern that almost perfectly blends in with the pattern of the chest. :)
Add a Red Swashbuckler's Shirt to blend red between the gloves to the shoulders and then the underarm area to the chest and it almost looks like it is all1 piece.
I haven't gotten the gloves or helm yet so am wearing Jade Tiger Helm and Gauntlets for now. After I added the Thick Goblin Back Protector and the Tidebreaker Trident I am very happy with the looks of it for now on my DK.
Who knew you could transmog a 2-handed Axe into a polearm? I was quite surprised to discover that!
