This set uses the Red version of the "Horde B5 Plate" artwork, one of a number of mail sets that use plate art. The pieces form a complete six-piece set of the art.

Like many older sets there actually isn't any artwork for the helm and shoulders. While "Magnificent" head and shoulders do exist, they use unrelated art and so aren't listed here. So use whatever you like, there's no "perfect" match.

There are four other colours of this artwork in the database, but only two seem to be available. See:

Gold: Magnificent Mail (Recolor)
Tarnished white-grey (officially "Rusty"): Magnificent Mail (Recolor)

The two unavailable colours are Black (a dark, oily grey) and Yellow (kind of a yellow-grey). To my knowledge there aren't any pieces available that use either colour.

The bracers and belts of the sets have different patterns, but that seems to be deliberate, it's part of the original artwork.

mail wearers get plate skins WAY too easily!

I am farming plate greens and they look nothing like plate as compared to "mail" gear that look so much more like plate armor :(

take Fiery Chain Shoulders for example!

For transmogging, the Corona della Distruzione goes almost perfectly with this set (and not many other sets), as well as the Spallacci Inanellati Ardenti, which are a real quest in themselves to get.

Along with these, as a hunter, I picked up a Devastatore Zannalesta - it has some darker shades, but so many of the same colours.

Anyone have suggestions for a polearm or a bow?
Polearm: I'm using Ira delle Fiamme because it hides the agility enchant, and I can't find anything better.
Bows: Aculeo di Huhuran seems too purple to match well. I do like Balestra degli Affondi Implacabili - the reddish parts match really well, if you don't mind looking like a Mardi Gras float.

This is such a pretty set! However, you'd be better off buying it off of the AH. I've run AQ (both of them) so many times and haven't seen a single piece drop.

I really don't like the belt. Engraved Girdle is a much suitable match. in my opinion. The head piece I used is Stalker's Helmet of Second Sight. which is obtained through a quest in Shadowmoon Valley. You can get the same model helmet from the first boss in Gruul's Lair, though.

The shoulders are Fiery Chain Shoulders. They look a lot better than the ugly round ones that are a part of the normal set. These might be a pain to get, depending on your server I guess. A blacksmith has to make them in BRD, so I don't know how many are willing to go there just to make one piece of armor, unless they are paid a lot of gold.

As a hunter, I like to have my pets match too! Ayamiss the Hunter's wings match really well. If you don't like bees (stun), then the ravager that emotionalgoat posted is the next best bet. If you care about companions, the Golden Dragonhawk Hatchling looks fairly decent with it.

And finally, the weapon I used was a little more difficult to find. I have settled on Hair-Trigger Blunderbuss. The colors and the patterns go really well with the set.

Consider these two items for a good transmog for shamans (which I'm planning for my own shammy):
Head piece: Elmo Foderato del Vulcano in Eruzione
Shoulders: Spalline del Vulcano in Eruzione

If you're a shaman and going to try to get lucky in AQ might I suggest Paraspalle dell'Invocatore delle Tempeste for shoulders since you'll probably get your Brood rep up while attempting to farm the rest.

Parts of the Engraved mail set look really awesome with the magnificent mail set, you can mix and match the color blends very well.

Maulgar's Warhelm looks amazing with this set! Now if I could just find a shield that I like for it.

Just want to say: this is a very hard set to get all the pieces of. I've been trying for upwards of two years, though no doubt my interest/motivation has waned in the past say.. 6-12 months. Still hoping for the chest someday!

As cool as this set is, it looks even cooler when you enter Icecrown territory. Due to the blue aura of the sky around you, this set will look blue and gold and is an absolutely killer look.

So I finally got all the pieces I needed except the bracers which I used Bracciali di Maglia Cremisi and they match perfectly
Head - Corona dei Fuochi di Mezza Estate
Shoulders - Guardaspalle del Destafiamme
Back - Mantella del Macellaio
Waist - Cinturone Inciso
Weapon - Arco Lungo del Gladiatore Indomito
Pet - Balzafiamme

It's a very bright outfit lol but so pretty and I've gotten a lot of compliments.

Edit: I changed head to Corona della Fiamma and Bow to Arco del Falco del Fuoco Celeste. The outfit is gorgeous and I've been getting so many compliments.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but Paraspalle dell'Eroe, Guardaspalle del Diluvio and Paraspalle Incisi fit almost perfectly with this set and you can even choose the shape, because they all use the same texture.
