Additionally, the World-Defiler set can drop from any Treasure Chest on Krokuun.

These items have a very low chance of dropping from any rare (silver) mob or Treasure Chest on all of Argus, however:

They only drop for plate users - obviously.
They share a loot table with Mac'Aree Guard armor and High Guard Armor, both of which are also very low drop chance. Additionally, I believe these items also share loot spot with the Unsullied pieces.

All of this makes this set - at least if you are unlucky like me - very hard to obtain. After opening well over 300 chests across 3 plate users and killing at least 100 rares, I've gotten ONE item; the bracers.

These @#$%ing items, man.

PS: Don't know if this is true, but no item has dropped for my DK that doesn't did the quests on argus, only for my warrior who did. It may be only bad luck, but the drop may be gated by quests. Anyone else noticed that too?

Some useful observations about rare spawns in general

They have a chance to spawn every 4 hourly after daily reset
If they are tied to a world quest, they will be up for 24 hours, with the WQ
If they are not tied to a world quest, they will only be up for 8? 12? hours (can't confirm)

If you want to maximize your attempts for the day (6/6 rares), try to check back every 4 hourly mark after daily reset.

Doing it with 3 characters, nearly daily, killing the mentioned rares and looting chests founded in KROKUUN while running to next rare spawn.
Have been doing 3 weeks so far I believe.

Does anyone know if it's gated behind something for it to drop? I've been farming daily for well over a week without seeing a single piece drop. Whilst for others they seem to be dropping like flies once they start farming for them.

Some words on the cache mechanic I've found over the past week of farming.

Searching for Legion War Supplies and Eredar War Supplies on wowhead, Legion War Supplies returns 9 results while Eredar War Supplies returns 7, each with seperate ids.

What this implies is that Argus caches (excluding one-time treasures) seem to behave similarly to Argus rares, on that they have very short respawns but each cache can only be looted once per day.
Each cache has multiple spawn points over certain area on the map (such as the Petrified Forest), and only one chest with that id can be up at the same time. When a cache is looted by someone for the first time, it stays up for around 5 minutes before despawning, then quickly respawns (within a minute or two) somewhere in the area.
Each cache can only be looted once per day per character and resets with the daily reset timer. Once a cache with the specific id has been looted, that character won't even be able to see the chest again until daily resets on the next day.

Basically it means you could only open a maximum of 9 caches on Antoran Wastes and 7 caches on Krokuun per day per character. Spending more time roaming the area when you have already looted the cache specific to that area would just be a waste of time.
That also means there are a maximum of 9 caches + 3 rares (if they spawn) = 12 chances on the cloth set and 7 caches + 6 rares = 13 chances on the plate set per character per day.

Farming with 3 plate and 3 cloth wearers, I managed to finally grab the cloth shoulders on the 7th cloth pieces to drop, the plate gloves on the 10th plate and plate bracers on the 12th plate pieces that dropped.

With around 60-75 chances (depending on rare spawns) per day across all 6 chars that I used to farm with, I am getting on average 3-5 pieces to drop per day. So I would put the drop rates on armor pieces at around 5-8%.

Hopefully it would help those who are still trying to complete the set before BfA drops. And good luck!

P.S. I would highly recommend grabbing the toy Occhio Cieco if you plan on farming caches in Antoran Wastes.

Just completed this set 8/8 after 2 months every day farming all rares and chests on 2 chars (war and dk).
Been looking for the last piece (boots) for over 2 weeks. Very annoying. But yesterday they dropped.
No achievement. Not visible in completed sets.

I have been farming this set daily for a week and 2 days with only my warrior, well I tried my DK too but I got only 3 triumvirate set pieces, not sure if it is because I didn't finish the story with the DK (just did quests to get to Argus), but I finished it with my warrior.

Few minutes ago I got shoulders and Im at 7/8, missing legs.
Every piece dropped only once for me, except the chest piece which I got 4 times.

Don't even bother trying to farm this set unless you are willing to put in daily grinding on multiple characters for a minimum of 1 month.

As of shadowlands pre-patch this is the macro that's been working for me to check daily kills on these.

Completed this set 8/8 after 5 days every day farming all rares and chests on 7 characters on Shadowlands.
Never drops to 60 level character. Just dropped on 45-50 level characters.
Just dropped rares and Eredar War Supplies.

After countless attemps on my warrior with 0 drops for 2 months, IMMEDIATELY AFTER hitting exalted with the Army of Light I got 3 pieces in 10-15 rares/boxes(as in I get the kill on the rare, hit exalted with the rep gain, loot and voila; the first piece; shoulders are there).

I am almost certain there is some form of hidden requirement to get drops.

Just finished farming this set in Shadowlands.

A lot of myths in these comments that can all be disproven.

Took about 3 weeks of daily farming on 4 plate wearers.

None are exalted or finished the Argus campaign. One of them completed the campaign up to unlocking world quests in Krokuun.

2 are level 60, one is a level 50 and another is a level 51. I would say I got an equal amount of drops on each character (3-4 items per toon).

Farmed the entirety of the "Commander of Argus" achievement a few days ago (kill all 60 rare spawns on Argus), well over 100 or 200+ kills total, and only got ONE piece of this set...

If it puts anything into perspective I have farmed the hell out of Argus randomly for mounts for years. Just realized that this was a set that looks pretty dope. After grinding argus enough to get all of the felcrushers out of paragon chests and commander of argus I still have 0 of the world drop mounts. I have 5/8 of this set minus bracers, legs, and belt just from killing random things/doing world quests for that amount of time. Was able to fill in with other fel looking plate. Set looks great with Spada Lampeggiante dall'Elsa Demoniaca & Akmin-Kurai, Scudo del Dominio or for ret Cuore della Corruzione Corrupted ashbringer skin, Lama della Calamità, or Decapitatore del Gladiatore Guerrafondaio horde side.

I highly advise using the All the Things addon for collecting this set (and the cloth version). On the menu for that addon you can Alt + right click and it will add a Tom Tom waypoint for all the various spawn locations for each chest in each section of the zones then make them as found when you open one. It does the same thing with the rares.

And like others have said there are absolutely no hidden requirements to get the pieces. I used a wormhole toy to reach Argus on an alt who had never done a single thing in any Broken Shore zones and got pieces to drop. If that's not definitive I don't know what is.

I cannot get the fricking gloves to drop for me. It has been on and off for months - around a year. Been farming with 2 toons and have collected probably around 50+ pieces and have not seen a single glove piece drop. Starting to believe they arent real.

Edit: Finally got the gloves 5.16.22 - hopped on a last resort level 50 after my two plate mains each got a piece that was yet another replica...All in all probably saw 4+ full sets minus gloves. My search is finally over!

For anyone wanting to farm this set in Dragonflight.

Whatever the other posters said it's true, this set only drops from those 6 rares. The problem is that not all rares are always up at all times. This means that some are on a longer respawn timer of a couple of hours and others of a few minutes. If you want to farm this set efficiently i'd say park a few plate user alts in Krokuun and figure out what rares are up for the day and farm them. It's not worth waiting hours for a single rare to spawn seeing how low chance drop are the items. This means that in a single day you'll only be able to farm only 1 or 2 rares but if you have many alts you get more attempts. I have 8 plate users in total, all of them over level 50 which helps. In addition I dont think the rares that are up are related to world quests since as of writing this comment Khazaduum and Commander Endaxis are up but no WQ about them. Also dont forget to disable Chromie time otherwise the rares will be unkillable. As for the treasure chests I have yet to see one in Krokuun, they seem to be either very rare or someone else was farming them on my realm which makes it very frustrating.

Also you can loot the items even on level 50 since I got my first piece on my level 50 pally. So the bug where some said it doesnt drop bellow level 60 I dont think exists anymore.

edit: took me approximately 140 tries (boss kills) in the span of a week to get all pieces. On average there'd be at least 3 bosses up, other times all 6 would be up, which meant I'd kill them with all my plate alts. In all this time I only looted 3 chests and none ever dropped anything.

Farming this on a few chars and today I got 4 po eices while I had the buff defilers guile from a scroll in krokuun, just saying. Might be nothing but seems like a heavy coinkidink

Just got my final piece on a level 70 warrior, anyone concerned a bug still exists and you can't get it on your mains stop worrying, it's been fixed :)

If anybody cares, my final piece was the head and I got it from Telestra. I was very unlucky with this set, I finished the cloth set in legion but this plate set has taken years of on and off farming. I'm not sure if it's more rare if I I've just been unlucky.

Been farming the list of rares listed by other players here the last week or so every day, no luck on any of them up until today. I looted the boots off Commander Endaxis. I have not completed a single argus quest on my toon at all. Hope this helps debunk anyone thinking they are missing any pre-reqs or anything like that.

I was able to finish the set after 1-2 weeks of farming on 5-10 characters per day. I would advice anyone farming these to send a paladin or DK as they're first character of the day because of their increased mount speed. This character will act as a scout so you know which rares are currently up. For my route, I started with Mistress first and ended with Khaz making sure to use my Flight Master's Whistle whenever and Dalaran Hearthstone at the end of the route. Also, I liked to use a Goblin Glider from Destiny Point TP to Khaz to speed up that long run.
