Definitely one of the contenders for Plate look-alike for any Mail-wearing class who wants to look that bit beefier.
Another favourite of mine for this purpose is Ornate Mail, but one thing generally goes for both of them: drop the helm.
Both aren't really that pretty nor significant. The Ironhide one is rather clumsy and the Ornate helmet is more like a circlet than a heavy helmet.

This set (aside from the head and shoulders) uses the Black and red (officially "Black") variant of the "Horde B3 Plate" artwork. One of a number of mail sets to use plate art. It forms a complete six-piece set of the art.

One thing to note: the helm and shoulders aren't from the same artwork as the rest of the set. This is because, like many older sets, no art for the helm and shoulders was ever created. Blizzard just picked a couple of pieces of a similar colour. They don't match too badly at all, but perhaps you can find ones you like better.

There are four other colours of this set in the database. All have at least a few pieces in the game, in either mail or plate, but only one other forms a complete set (see the list below). I'll list the fragmented set pieces as well so you can at least get an idea of what a set would look like:

Red: mail: Ironhide Mail (Recolor) (this is the only other colour with a complete set), plate: just a chest, bracers and gloves, Burning Rage
Blue and red (officially "Blue"): mail only: just a breastplate: Usbergo del Salvatore
Orange and red (officially "Brass"): mail: just a belt and leggings, see this link for appearance and list of pieces, plate: just a chest and leggings, see this link for appearance and list of pieces

I have this on my hunter but like the advice listed above, I dropped the helm to this set. But I think the Copritesta dell'Omicida looks very nice with it if you want to show a helm that matches. It was difficult for me to get this because it was never on the AH and I am alliance, so i had to level a lower lvl horde toon I had to 32 for a higher drop rate % by killing the Avvistatore della Guardia del Presidio which are friendly for alliance players. One dropped only after about 20 minutes of farming.

This is a lead contender for my favorite mail transmogrification set. As a Hunter looking for weapons that match this set, it seems the best options (my opinion) are:

Staff: Dannazione
Polearm: Aculeo di Terokk, Tridente del Fendimaree, Ira delle Fiamme, Guisarma Penetrante are okay. Not finding a great match here.
Bow/Crossbow/Gun: Arco Molto Teso, Pungitore degli Spiraguzza, Balestra di Tendine, Archibugio del Gladiatore Crudele are decent. Again, hard to find great matches.

Perhaps someone should bug Blizzard and inform them we need more Red/Black combination weapons.

I 2-manned Ulduar 10 with a friend earlier today and, completely by accident, found two amazing capes for this set. I was hard-pressed to pick between them.

Obtaining this set will be a nice challenge (and hopefully you can find the items on the AH or get lucky), since they are BoE greens that mainly drop from unnamed mobs.

The overview table below is a little different then my normal instance tables and will list the zones where the item is listed to drop and the average mob levels of the mobs that drop it.

Farming this set is a pain in the back and that's the reason why people try to sell it for insane amounts of gold: it's rare, it's from an old-useless zone and the mobs density is not great. You really need to invest a lot of time to complete the set. Time which can be spent doing something (gather money) and buy it from the auction house.

Now here is a little advice: look for the single pieces on the AH and send a message to the seller. Ask them if they could possibly consider a lower price to find a deal. I've already found 3 pieces this way, spending a grand total of 2K instead of 19K.

The truth is... sellers try hard to sell them for 5-10K but they will need quite a lot of time. So they often get bored and prefer a fast-easy 1K instead of days of auctioning.

Be kind and ask politely for a possible deal. There are still nice people out there!

after 2 years of farming and scouring through the auction house, a bit of gold, and some patience, I have finally completed this set and I LOVE IT! I do use the crown of cinders as my headpiece though, I find it fits better, but I do have the ironhide helmet as well.
looks great while riding around on my jeweled onyx panther.

For an elemental shaman I found the perfect additions to this set to be

Benda per Occhio del Malfattore, a red eyepatch with a skull on it.

Pursax, il Trapanaschiene, a mythic rarity dagger from Uldir.

Scudo Schizzato di Sangue, a red shield with a skull on it.
