This set uses the purple (officially "Blue") version of the "Horde A3 Plate" artwork. One of a number of mail sets that use plate artwork. It forms a complete six-piece set of the art.

This set doesn't have any artwork for the helm and shoulders (many old sets don't have specific artwork for these pieces). While there are "Steadfast" pieces for these, they use unrelated artwork and so aren't listed here. So just pick whatever you think suits as there aren't any pieces designed to match.

There are two other colours of this artwork in the database and both are available in-game as sets (though one is missing a few pieces). See:

Rusty brown (officially "Red"): Sentry's Mail (Recolor) (missing bracers, belt and legs)

I think it is the most beautiful mail set in game.

I have been scanning AH few times a day, everyday since September with no luck - managed only to buy head.

I didn't wanted to go to Dire Maul, as I thought drop rate was too low. But few days ago I decided to check my luck and try this dungeon. I think it took me around 30-40 runs, to gather all pieces. Sometimes there was 5 runs without any steadfast part, sometimes there were 2 parts in one run.

So if someone really wants this lovely set, I encourage to do - let's say - 5 dungeons a day. Full run takes around 20 minutes, so it is not very bad.
You will get the set within days/weeks, while counting only on AH - it might take ages.

I adore this set! I have moved into Dire Maul to farm and have had next to no luck =(
I intend to keep going though because I want it so badly. Guess anything worth having takes some time. The fact that it's this great looking and not everyone is running around in it makes it worthwhile too.

It really is a lovely set, I think prettiest in game and wish it was plate. There is a shield included as well. My main has the entire set, shield and all. The head piece was hardest to get. I have submitted a couple of screenshots and will include how it looks on a male in game. What I like about the male version is the neck-piece that covers back of neck and a bit on the sides. Female version doesn't have that.

Well down to needing just belt and bracers. Been at it for a month. Kind of frustrating, but it's going to be worth it in the end. I think I can do this Dire Maul run in my sleep now and probably have XD LOL.

I was farming a cave in A Thousand Needles with the ogre elites in it for the saltstone set for my dk and almost this entire set dropped for me within a two hour farm period. If you really want the set badly i suggest farming those ogres. You can get this set plus a lot of very nice transmog gear for other toons or to sell on the AH making the effort worth it

Let's face it there is no easy way to farm this set. Unless you are extremely lucky it will take a lot of grinding.
You can check your AH though it seems the chances of it being there is small (maybe just for me because I'm on a really low population server).

One day I did check my AH and I saw Gambali Corazzati Costanti on the AH for 11G.
Clearly someone didn't know the value of what they were selling.

Other then that I haven't seen any other.

I tried both popular ways which is running through diremaul and farming the ogres in Admiral's den.
There are pros and cons to each method.

Ogres in Admiral's den
- The path is very linear and it's easy to kill a lot of them in a short amount of time
- They seem to drop a lot of greenies
- I have farmed this place for about three hours which isn't that long I suppose but I have almost made two full sets of the sandstone armor but I have only seen Diadema Costante
So I don't know if I'm very unlucky but not a lot of steadfast armor dropping from these I'm finding...

Dire Maul
The dreaded Dire maul... No I didn't want to run this place a lot of times but I did.
This place is split up into 3 parts. I don't know which part of it people here are going in to farm this set so I tried all 3. There's pros and cons to each part.

Warpwood Quarter - east side of Dire Maul
- I found this dungeon to be the most linear (as in you don't have to do a lot of backtracking) but that's just my opinion
- A positive is if you don't get any pieces of armor this instance also drops a lot of leveling herbs and Telavile. If you've ever leveled tailoring you'd know what a pain felcloth is to farm.
- The bad news about this place is there's a lot of small plants to kill... And I mean a LOT. Half the times it seems they don't drop anything... Out of all of them this one seems to take the longest to go through.
- You must complete all bosses to get access to the last boss (and you have to talk to that big tree guy so he'll break down the last door). Luckily after you kill the last boss a door will open and you can exit the instance with ease.

Capital Gardens - west side of Dire Maul
- The mobs aren't really set up in a linear path but the more you run it the more you can find ways to kill all the mobs so you won't have to do a lot of backtracking.
- Personally I find this one to have the most mobs that could drop the pieces of the set
- This one is my favorite to run and after 5 runs I did see Diadema Costante drop (sucks because I already had that but at least it's something)
- I have yet to find an exit once you do the last boss on this instance. Your option is to go into a bg which could be a nice break from the grinding of this place. There is a tunnel which leads to Gordok Commons but I don't think you can go to that instance from Capital Gardens anymore (at least I can't)
- Some leveling herbs do drop though not as much as in Warpwood Quater.

Gordok Commons - south side of Dire Maul
- In this one the mobs are set up in the most annoying pattern imo
- There are lots of ogres in this one which drop a lot of greenies.
- Haven't found an exit out of this one either
- I guess it's just a personal preference but I like Capital Gardens better then this one but it's totally up to you.

Another thing after one run of diremaul your inventory will be full (if you have auto loot on like I do)
With the ogres you can farm for ages without your inventory getting too full.

Anyways both methods of farming this set have their positives and negatives.

I just finished my set today.

In reply to Mstino, you can farm every piece of steadfast, except for the bracelets and belt, from the Ogre Cave in Thousand Needles.

The last 2 pieces can be farmed from Dire Maul - Warpwood Quarter, however it is a grind like nothing else if you're unlucky like I was.

On my first run in Warpwood Quarter, the belt dropped. A few weeks later and I still couldn't get the bracelet to drop so I just posted in /2 to pay anyone 5k who would COD it to me. It was in the mail the next day. :)

If you don't like Dire Maul for the Belt/Bracelet, you could also try Mauradon if you look at the drop sheets for them, they show about the same % drop rate.

I have this set with Black Ice, Vengeful Gladiator's Longbow (which is really easy to get in Area 52 in Netherstorm) and the Mantle of the Sea Wolf. It looks really sharp. I know once Mists comes out, Black Ice won't be used anymore, but that bow looks so good with this set. Gondria is usually my pet of choice as well, considering that she matches... yeah, I am totally OCD.

Oh, got the whole set off the AH - I see the pants on the AH with amazing frequency. Took me a few months, however.

Got feet x1 and waist x2 with 6 hours of Dire Maul Warpwood quarter (maybe like 8-10 runs for me). And I got the chest, wrist and legs after about 4 hours of ogre killing in Thousand Needles cave. Now I'm just praying for the hands!

Here's the set I've been using. I'm not a fan of the wolf shoulders so I replaced them. Also changed the gloves (I just had to have bare fingers) and belt.

Been farming this for a couple days thus far and found the chest in the cave in Thousand Needles. Probably going to be combining this set with some of the Ten Storms recolor pieces, as others have done.

Can anyone recommend a shield to go with this set? The actual Steadfast shield doesn't really "go", in my opinion.

This is by far my FAVORITE transmog set in the game! I farmed Razorfen Downs, Dire Maul (East & West) & The Admiral's Den in Thousand Needles. I got the legs from Dire Maul East, the chest from Razorfen Downs & the rest, I bought in the AH for under 900G per item. I had the hardest time farming for Mantle of the Sea Wolf. It just wouldn't drop...till yesterday! I farmed a solid 2 months, EVERYDAY in Mana-Tombs (drops off the 2nd boss Tavarok, on HEROIC & has a 6.65% drop chance.) But before it dropped, I was using the Steadfast Shoulders, which is SO ugly IMO.

My set is FINALLY complete & I totally love it!

*I don't like showing my cape or helm so I never got the Steadfast Coronet or the Steadfast Cloak & I can't use the Steadfast Buckler as i'm a hunter but i've seen all 3 in the AH & it wasn't very expensive. (Though the price could have gone up or down, I don't know.)

For the gear, I have -

I have been deminishing the population of den whompers in thousand needles for the past few hours and so far I haven't had any out of this set drop :c has anybody else had to spend over a few hours farming in there to get it, or is it just my bad luck?

So afer seeing a pretty little Bloodelf running around Silvermoon City on US-Moonguard and deciding that this was the set I wanted my Bloodelf hunter to rock, I farmed what I could and spent a small fortune on the auction house for the bits I was unlucky enough not to have drop in the weeks I spent farming.

The last part I needed to complete the look was a weapon. I'd looked at some of the suggested ranged weapons and didn't really feel the love.. then I came across this, that I think looks awesome with the set :D
Arco Lungo del Gladiatore Brutale ...and for the low low price of 350 Honor Points from your local Legacy Weapon Quatermaster you can't go wrong

Hunter pets not mentioned that complement this gorgeous mail set are Crystalfang (rare shale spider), Rex Ashil (rare wasp), and the lavender version of Portent (quilen). I haunted the Auction House for the Steadfast breastplate for what seemed like centuries, checking several times a day like a stalker. One day a player listed it for 40G! I immediately composed a nice letter, told her the item was a sought-after transmog piece, and included quite a bit of gold. When I tried to send the letter, it came up "player unknown." Further efforts to locate her failed. I like to think maybe that player was an angel playing WoW. However, I suspect snaring that breastplate used up my luck for at least a decade! But at least my Blood Elf is rocking one of the prettiest sets in the game.

Being too lazy to farm for a suitable cloak for this set, I'm using the Dark Leather Cloak made by leather workers. It works well.

I was really lucky. Playing on a dead server I did not expect to find waist, hands and legs on AH. And for quite cheap too.
I farmed the boots myself killing Den Whompers in Thousand Needles and got a mate to check Horde AH for chest and post it on cross-faction AH so he could make a little profit.

I got Arco Lungo del Crepuscolo di Melmorta after 17 tries (can do 10 runs pr hour now, thank god).
And finally, I farmed Coprispalle del Lupo di Mare for 8 days and just got it today. I used Spallacci dell'Onda Rabbiosa prior to that. But they don't look anywhere near as good to be honest.

I see many people using Copricapo delle Maree but I was quite fed up by farming gear, so I went and looked for a similar model and found Elmetto Sciamanico della Preveggenza which is completely identical. And is a quest reward.

So now my set is complete after 8-10 days and it looks really nice.

So full set is now:

I combined this great set with Guardaspalle Inanellati Rivestiti which nicely match the colour as well as the chain theme, Mantello della Luce Debole for the back, Arco Lungo di Piume di Ferro and, although it doesn't quite match the colour scheme, it does do the ranger thing for me: Elmo di Varasha Looks great on my Nightelf Hunter.

FWIW, WoD added the purple flaming wolf pet and many of the Season 2/3 Elite PvP weapons match hues of this set very well: bow, polearm, 2h axe, both melee swords, 1h mace for sure.
