The Draenai capital, Originally the Draenaes didn't want to land here with their demensional ship, but their ship crash landed into Azeroth and the smoke can still be seen from their crashed ship. Although the city seems big ontop from the map. The city is actually larger underground than above. The Draenai would of originally been in outland if it wasn't for the Burning Legion coming and Laying waste to Draenor.

The Exodar has bumped off Darnassus as the least visited alliance city, so as a mage I like to port here when I'm checking the AH or the bank, for some peace and quiet ;)

The Exodar faction leader is Prophet Velen, who is located near the battlemasters in the Vault of Lights

Ectualy exodar was once one of the ''satelites'' of great outland fortress tempest keep the eye. But during the encounter of blood elves and Kael'Thas it was crashed and ''landed'' in azzeroth. Blood elves are also take muru from there to Silvermoon as their new source of power.

I wonder just 1 think. What are those ''clones'' or images of bosses like Archimonde, Mother Sharraz etc. What are they doing there???? Does anybody knows???

Its a shame that Horde have their instant teleportation to Silvermoon City -and back- via the stone right at the entrance of Undercity but as Alliance you have to wait for 2 ships to reach Exodar -if you arent mage or cant get an assist of mages. Cant blame Alliance people whining about Blizzard favoring Horde side....

It's nice to see an Alliance city with a back entrance. Being Horde, I always feel slighted that 2 of our capitals have poorly-guarded side entrances. While none of the Alliance ones did.

Draenei Capital, Alliance. The city leader or boss is Prophet Velen the 1 that was not corrupted by the Legion. His two ''Friends'' Archimonde and Kil'Jaeden has been corrupted and tranformed into demons.

Is it just me, or does the Exodar look a lot better in patch 3.1? I was there today and it seems to have had a lot of effects added to it. In The Vault of Lights, for example.

Yeah I really think they should have some quicker ways to get the to Exodar.
I like going their on my mage because it has no lag and the AH has the mailbox close.

It's easy to get around too. and it's really badass looking. lol

Really a beautiful city, with alot of stuff worth seeing. The biggest draw back is the city is kinda like darnasuss in the dead zone of the alliance.

People hang out in IF and SW for a reason, the reason was in the beginning IF, SW and Darnassus AH and trade chat was not linked together. So most people did gather around in IF bcs it was in a good location for many starter player. SW was also used alot due to the tram. Darnassus was not used much bcs it was located really far off from the other two capitals. Then in a few patches later they corrected this, but the habit still remains. People still gather in numbers in IF and SW bcs they always done so.

The changes only really did add one thing and it was that people started using bank alts in darnassus due to the extreme lag in vanilla.

Exodar lies so close to darnasuss so this has ofc made it transfer to it. If Exodar location would have been in eastern kingdom or near theramore and tanaris, i would believe it would contain alot more people.

Btw the Quest areas who is around exodar is probarly the best starting areas of the alliance.

While The Exodar is beautiful, it is a very painful city.I remember when I went here simply to get Jewelcrafting so I could supply my Engineer with wires. It probably took me maybe half and hour to find the trainer, and that's not including finding the forge aswell!

The "backdoor" starts at 25, 50 outside the Exodar and ends at 35, 75 in the Vault of Lights.

The Exodar is strikingly reminiscent of the Lunar Whale from FFIV. For instance, the 'beds' in the inn look very similar to the bunks on the Lunar Whale, the crystalline central core of the ship is similar, the fact it seems to be designed as living quarters is similar, if only slightly.

I wonder if it's an intentional reference.

In cataclysm, Im expecting it will look even more amazing. With all the cities being redesigned, I would think they would finish up with the cleanup of the parts of the city that were damaged. I can't wait to see what they'll do with it!

To be clear, we're not talking about having the Millennium Falcon cruising around the Twisting Nether. The draenei 'nether-ship' you've been hearing about is far more than it seems. It's part of a larger dimension-traveling fortress called Tempest Keep that essentially teleports through alternate realities. Took me a long time to find this info:

Go to Stormwind harbor. Go to the end of the far left Dock. Wait for Boat. Get on boat. This boat will take you to Auburdin. When boat arrives, get off boat. Follow dock, turn left. G to the end of that dock. Wait for Boat. Get on boat. Boat arrives, and you get off. Follow road till you arrive at the Exodar, it will be on your left.

Sneaking into Exodar for Midsummers Quest and surviving.

Get a Lesser Invisibility Potion

Desecrate fires in Darnassus first, then take boat to Exodar and get the flames in Azure Watch and Blood Watch because you will hearth after stealing flame in Exodar.

Arrive by boat, after running off the dock turn left to the path at the back entrance. There are two mobs that pat, let them go back down. Mount up and hop off the right side of the ramp out of the sentrys range.

You are in the Vault of lights. You can run across the room safely if you wait for one mob to get by. Stop around 36.50. and drink the potion and run to approx, 41.26. This will keep you in safe range.

Obviously you do not want to aggro the myriad of mobs in here so use your "v" key so you can see them better.

Capture the fire and hearth out.

As a proud member of the Horde, the easiest way to get there is to fly to Rut'theran Village (the small port town outside of Darnassus), and take the purple boat on the western dock to Azuremyst Isle where the Exodar is located.

Some things to note:
In order to reach Rut'theran Village, you have to fly over deep ocean; don't worry though, you'll make it with plenty of time left on your Fatigue Bar - with 310% and 280% mount speed that is. No guarantees for 150% speed.
Don't even try to reach Azuremyst Isle by using your flying mount - the whole area technically is in a different "instance", along with the other Burning Crusade zones.

I'm wondering if anyone has the ambient music for the city itself.
None of the tracks listed above match what I hear in the city.

As Croat notes quite awhile back, this city is the most peaceful, and I think the background music is a big part of that.

Literally i've done nothing. Just active the battle, step back and watch how NPCs did the work for me.
I don't know if it's easier now.
I can't post the pic right now, but i hope this helps anyone.

Go to Azuremyst Isle as Horde

Go to Darkshore.
If Darnassus is a smoking ruin, talk to Zidormi to make it accessible.
Mount up and fly from the vicinity of Lor'danel (nelf town on the shore opposite the tree) out toward the tree. You'll get into fatigue, but a 280 or 310 mount will get you safely across.
When you get across, you'll be flying over a place call Rut'theran village, at the foot of the tree. It has docks for ships to other zones. The dock you want is on the extreme left (west) of the village.
At the dock you'll find a portal, which replaces the ship. The portal is usable by both factions.
Click it and you'll find yourself on a dock in Azuremyst Isle, practically looking at the Exodar.
