It drops from Enraged Air Spirits, Enraged Earth Spirits, Enraged Water Spirits and Enraged Fire Spirits in Shadowmoon Valley.

And yes, the droprate is low. Or maybe it's not. Or maybe it's just luck. Or maybe Blizzard doesn't like you. Or maybe not. Or maybe it just drops and nothing else really matters.

Droprates isnt likely to be determined at any precise measure due to this plan being BOP and only will drop for players with blacksmithing profession.

Also its said that these shoulders is being implemented to compensate for the nerf of Sylvanaar Champion's Shoulders.

These plans dropped off of the 5th Enraged Fire Spirit that I killed at the Hand of Guldan today.

On a side note, these shoulders are ridiculously out of line with the rest of the set as far as stats go, and they are a bit overpowered for a blue item. Socketing these shoulders with an 8 hit gem and 8 crit gem gives them the following stats:

64 AP
17 hit rating
28 crit rating

Now compare those stats to Tier 5 shoulders (socketed with an 8 crit gem and a 4 str/6 stam gem for the set bonus):

86 AP
18 hit rating
28 crit rating

Speaking from a raid DPS warrior's standpoint, I would expect that upgrading from a blue craftable set of shoulders to Tier 5 would give me more than ~22 AP and 1 hit rating (stam is negligible for raid DPS). Granted, Tier 5 can be socketed differently to give better stats, but there's still not that much of a disparity there. I would say that these shoulders will probably get nerfed soon.

These are a good way to level blacksmithing, the mats are fairly easy and the pattern is orange up until 375.

Compared to other craftables which can get those last 5 points:

Felsteel Gloves:
36 Fel Iron Ore
24 Eternium Ore

Flamebane Breastplate:
32 Fel Iron Ore
6 Primal Water
4 Primal Fire

Enchanted Adamantite Breastplate:
40 Adamantite
8 Arcane Dust
2 Large Prismatic Shard

I suspect that these not as likely to be nerfed as people may suppose. While they seem to be overpowered, they ARE available to both factions and there are upgrades available. T5 are certainly an upgrade over these (T4 not as much, because agility sucks for warriors now).

The Sylvanaar Champion's Shoulders were an alliance-only quest reward, which was probably a large factor as to why they were nerfed.

Blinking sharks.... I decided to start collecting mats for this sweet item... I have all the fel iron and primal fires, and almost all the Khorium. The only thing was the Scroll of Str. So I head off to the AH .... there were 4 up .. 2 of them for 70 g each, the other 2 for 80g each .... ...

Yeah - that's me ... speechless !!

Finally got around to going to farm for these ... plans dropped before I could make a full circuit of the Netherwing Fields (off an Enraged Air Elemental). Also picked up 13 motes of air.

Then I went (as is a habit now) to the AH looking for a Scroll of Strength V ... picked one up for 96s ... happy me ;-)

Now I just need Khorium and I'm done !!

According to my KillCounter, I've been through 15 Enraged Fire Spirits and 72 Enraged Earth Spirits - and still no dropped plans for me... I guess, much of it depends on luck.

The plans for helm, gloves and breastplate dropped much quicker :)

If you are farming this, you misewell kill Fire Spirits so you can get the Mote of Fire to make Primal fire for the plan.

I killed 60 or so Earth elementals, killed one fire elemental and it dropped.

Plans dropped for me at around the twentieth Enraged Fire Elemental I killed.

I can also confirm that the drop rate for motes of fire is abismal off these mobs.

Got these today after killing about 10 enraged air spirits while grinding motes. : )
Nice for leveling 365 -> 375 if you ask me, the mats aren't that hard to grind / expensive.

Dropped off an Enraged Water Spirit. Killed 93 of them before it finally dropped. By then I had 5 Primal Water, 5 Motes of Water, 1 Essence of Water, Conqurer's Greaves of the Gorilla, and Shadow Council Gloves of the Sorcerer. Not a bad run. Now to kill the Anger Guards for the Helm plans...

I farmed for less than an hour on water spirits. There easy to kill they die quickly. They dropped 9 min into server shutdown! Nice!

Dropped off an air spirit in Shadowmoon, I landed to mine some feliron and it got in my way. Does anyone know what the shoulders are worth? A ballpark figure, I'll take into consideration that I live on a server with a depressed economy.

I was killing enraged earth elementals for these since the site said its highest drop rate. After about 30 of those they dropped off of Fire elemental that simply got to close to me.

I farmed the air spirits in North SMV (near Aldor FP) for about an hour, then switched to fire elementals (also in SMV) for another 30 minutes and no drop. Went back a couple days later to the fire elementals and the recipe dropped after about 5 minutes. I wasn't counting mobs but I probably farmed for a good 90 minutes total before I got mine :)

the plans also drop off the enraged fire spirits in SMV. that is where i got mine. Took a while but was getting motes of fire in the process. the area around the fel pits.

Got em out in SMV too... Must be a new drop out here cause I have killed well over 1000 of these guys in the past. Yes they are bind on pickup.
Cheap mats... 12 fel iron bar, 2 primal fire, 8 khorium bar, 2 Scroll of Strength V. I can craft these for you on Anvilmar server. Djamin, alliance warrior. (can get em to horde side too)

i got it tonight off an enraged earth spirit. i killed 1 fire then 1 earth and BAM! it dropped. i was gunna have a guildie make it but i made it myself instead :P

Decent moneymaker, sell anywhere from 115-150g. Cheap mats, and best of all, can get you up to 375. Got mine off an enraged earth spirit that i didnt even want to bother with lol.

I have noticed that nothing shows the mats for this. Here are the mats

Now that there are four pieces I wonder if that effects the boost of stats.

I farmed for about 2 hours killing 158 air elementals, then when I was about to give up for the day.. there she was.. I hope this is a money maker on my server.
If you need any of ther Ragesteel crafted, I can do the whole thing now. Pst me.

was questing with a few people I know, I saw an adamantite vein and went to it and agroed an earth elemental, after we killed it, it dropped these plans. the other warrior was an engineer so I got the plans. only 5 away from 365.

After trying to get the recipe from Enraged Air Spirit for a week, I tried to get it from Enraged Earth Spirit. It drops from the 10th mob.

Wow, what a grind. Here is my experiance of getting all 4 plans. I got drop at blacksmithing level 340-360.

Ragesteel Gloves - Dropped off the 42nd Boulderfist Warrior in Nagrand 49,56 inside and outside of cave

Ragesteel Helm - dropped of the 2nd guard i killed in BEM at 72,40 (very happy about that)

Ragesteel Shoulders - After what seemed like 100 Enraged Air elementals( didnt mind as i needed the moted, i got sick of it and went kill enraged rock and fire's and it dropped off the 8th Enraged Fire spirit at location 48,44

Ragesteel Breastplate - Took quite a while but it dropped off the 75th Ashtongue where i farmed out front of Alter of sha'tar from one entrance to other of ruins 56,33 - 61,36(dont need to enter ruins)

i grinded in hours in a row so it would drop on the respawns that i killed .

Posting for luck, I've been on and off farming these plans for a total of maybe 6 hours now, must've killed over 200 air elementals, I've never had to farm as hard as this.

I was actually farming fire motes in SMV (ele plateau can be a serious pain sometimes) and this dropped, much to my surprise!

For a miner the materials are not difficult or expensive to get hold of, and they look seriously kick ass...

Best part of the set imo; a definite money-maker ;)

just drop yesterday 8:00 pm server time i was farming alone like 5 min then see a fire mage whic BT gear i asking if she can help me, i only try to get the plan and she motes or air only kill 5 and the plan drop i was 363 bs and the plans is bop and 365 then farm for 1 hour to hope the ragesteel helm drop but only get a lot of motes of air

Got them in Netherwing pass from the Enraged Air Elementals. 4 kills total. Wasn't really in the mood for a long grind and thankfully, the game cooperated...for once.

The elementals near the altar and Netherwing pass make a nice little circle that you can plow through.

i was questing, and it dropped for me on my first kill..nobody else had blacksmithing and i still had mine at lvl 1 so it was awesome. They are bind on equip, not bind on pickup.

Killed about 15-20 Enraged Air Spirits and they dropped... I raced some horde guy to that Air Spirit and barely beat him. It was sweet victory in more than 1 way!

If the drop rate is to be correct, I got mine off the lowest drop rate, Enraged Air Spirit, for 0.07%. I was just farming motes and it dropped. Luckily, I'm a Fury Warrior, so this was very helpful. Just got my BS up to 365 today and crafted them to put on my Warrior.
