Much, much cheaper to make than the Khorium Scope.

Just make sure not to buy this schematic off the Auction House like I did (/kickself)... it's vendor bought, though much easier to get for Horde than Alliance (Hellfire vs. Shadowmoon).

Total raw materials to make this scope are:

6 Thorium ore
14 Adamantite ore
2 Golden draenite

In patch 2.3 the Thorium tube was removed as an ingredient. This makes this scope even cheaper now.

item has to be boe and in the lev 55s back pack to put it on tthere

the item can be used on BoP items too, all items got an "Item level" and has nothing to do with the required lvl, f.ex. a Sniper Scope (requires lvl 40 to attach on an item with item level 40 or higher) can be used on the crossbow "Swiftwind" that got lvl 35 req but item level 40

I'm a lvl 56 and tried to put this scope on my Hurricane and failed. Hurricane is item lvl 48 so obviously the item lvl of the weapon must be 55.

All scopes can only be equipped on an ranged weapon that meets the level requirement.

So if your scope says "requires level 40" then your weapon must be a level 40 item (which means any weapon that requires level 35+ to equip, since items are generall 5 levels higher than their equip requirements) and so on...

thank you for that clarification BC, it all makes sence now.... I attatched a sniper scope (level 40) to my bow of searing arrows (level 37) and could not do the same with this and I could not figure out why.... item level isn't required level and it all is clear after your post.

Nope, they are an item like leatherworkers armor kits. And yes, things can be put on BoP and quest items, its just as someone previously mentioned, the "item" lvl isnt listed on them, you would have to go to a site like *ghasp* this one, and look the item up to know its exact lvl. Or...you could just try it and see if it works or not.

I wish this would say "can only be used on an item of level **+" but hey it doesn't. Blizzard have been sensible about these unlike they have with the leg armour and threads
