One of the four ranged weapon-classes.

Bows are one of the three DPS weapons used by the Cacciatore class. (Archi, Balestre, Armi da fuoco)

When equipped, they can be considered 2-handed weapons, as they do not permit you to equip any other weapon concurrently.
"Enchants" for bows are classified under Augments. Specifically, these augments are named Scopes.
These can be crafted by those with Ingegneria (and subsequently can be purchased at the Auction House). Augments do NOT stack with Enchants.
Bows are obtained via vendor or killing NPC mobs (and subsequently can be purchased at the Auction House).
One exception is Spennagalline Ultrapotente, created by Ingegneria.
Bows can also be used by two other classes: Ladro and Guerriero; However, since the removal of a Ranged weapon slot in Patch 5.0.4, bows no longer serve any valuable purpose for these classes.
As of Patch 4.0.1, bows no longer require ammunition to shoot.
