I don't think orcs can get the quest from him. At least, at level 10 no trainers in Blood Elf land had a quest for me.

This quest is marked as obsolete, but I just completed it and received the "you are not eligible for this quest" message when I went to get the rest of the chain after turning it in.

Strange, no? I imagine Blizzard will fix this soon.

Blizzard still has not fixed this. Blood-elf Hunters can obtain this quest @ lvl 10, but then it just pops up the "You are not eligible for this quest message". Not very useful. And very frustrating, especially if it's your first b-e hunter.

this quest showed up for me at level 85... I had low level quests turned off but it still showed on my mini-map... didnt say low level on the quest screen either...

also, it only showed up today, even flying through org with low level quests turned on it didnt show until today...

Just handed this in (lvl 13 Hunter) messge I got was -

"You Gain 90 Experience"
"You Gain 22 Guild Experience"
"Seek the Farstriders completed"
"Experienced Gained: 90."
"You don't meet the requirements for that quest"

Presumeably the last bit refers to the follow on quest.

Happened to be in the Goblin/Troll areas of Org and picked this quest up from a female Troll while on my 42 BE hunter. Went all the way out to Eversong Woods and opened my map to find it wasn't there. Checked my quest log and it was gone too, so Blizzard's still not taken the quest out of the game. They need to though cause it will cause serious confusion for new players that happen to pick it up.

This quest just popped up for me today. Thinking it might lead to more SC rep, I took it. I turned it in and got 825 xp which is nice. But, no follow up. Read the comments here and agree Blizzard needs to get off the dime and remove it. And, why is it showing up now? I started this toon a couple weeks ago and it wasn't around then. This is my first BE hunter, so I didn't know what it was. Also, when I tried to query it in Wowhead initially, it said it couldn't find it. WTF?
