As far as I am aware, there is no way to outright kill the prince for this quest. Perhaps it's a bug. Perhaps not. At any rate, pick up the quest in DM West that allows you to kill the Prince, and this one before you go do it. You'll kill two birds with one stone and be able to walk out, do another tribute run, and turn this one in.

Decent gloves for clothies, caster druids, shamen and plate wearers looking to up their crit chance.

You don't need to kill the prince to do this quest.

You need to kill Immol'thar before the chest containing the item becomes usable however.

Well... technically.. but good luck opening the chest without having to fight the prince anyway :)

In case anybody was wondering, if your party wipes whilst this quest is in progress, you will no longer be King of the Grodoks and will not be able to complete the quest. A reset and fresh tribute run will be necessary. I found this out the hard way!

For those of you who are new to DM and figuring out this quest, you can do this quest in two ways.

First one is to go to the dungeon with the materials to make the ogresuit, talk to the goblin that seems to be captured and chained who can be found on the way to Captain Kromcrush, get the ogresuit and talk to the Captain while wearing it.

Another way, which is applicable if you can accomplish the following which is to walk around the Captain to kill the Gorduk King, who is just a bit further behind the Captain. Once you kill that boss, you will get a buff that lets the other ogres recognize you as the new king. With this buff, all monsters in the dungeon turn 'green' on you (except these two voidwalkers that I found; when killed they are not lootable) and talk to you. This applies to Captain Kromcrush as well. Talk to him throuh the dialogue and eventually he will throw on the "!" sign.

If you've killed the prince already, great. You just have to go back to the spot and loot the small chest there. If you haven't, find Shan'dralar Ancient in the west wing who gives the quest to kill the prince, along with a beast named Imol'thar. This way you can catch two birds with one stone.

The west and north wings are connected and Shan'dralar Ancient is located on the top tier of the west wing. Refer to the map of Dire Maul map on this site for directions, it's quite easy to figure out how they are connected. As far as getting to the top tier is concerned to get to Shan'dralar Ancient, just take a walk around the edges and you will see ramps (or stairs, kinda hard to givit a name) that lead up to it.

There is one giant treat guardian boss in the west wing.. I killed him and about 20 treants spawned. Not sure if that is supposed to happen or you were supposed to clear first. I'm saying this so that you don't get the surprise.

If you talk to him in the ogre suit, he will run to Guard Fengus's room. Once you become king, you can go there to pick up Unfinished Gordok Business.

According to Wowhead: "This quest was marked obsolete by Blizzard and cannot be obtained or completed."

This is false! I just did this quest on my priest.

Here's what to do:

Get the starting quest from the Druid of the Talon
Go along the left side (and then go through the middle of the courtyard where the little structure is) and try to avoid taking on any of the bosses prior to the final. This will maximize the tribute gained at the end.
Have one person get the tannin from the basket and kill the mob that spawns.
Use the ogre suit on the Captain. After he leaves, continue and kill the final boss.
Run back down to where Guard Fergus was and the Captain should be standing there. Talk to him and accept the quest.
The test is to just talk to the guard. Then you get your item! Don't forget to ask, as the King of Dire Maul, what he has for you. You'll get a buff that increases your overall stamina by 15%

you can still complete this quest i just did it on my horde goblin priest 4/1/2016. i got the cloth gloves.

This quest is listed as unable to be obtained or completed but it isn't. It's just a weird quest. In fact, when I completed it, the mail gloves just appeared in my appearance collection. I did not receive a physical, usable, or disenchantable version of the gloves. Weird. I was streaming at the time so here's the video.

One thing to note is that I don't think Druido dell'Artiglio is even in the game anymore. I don't see him in Dire Maul North.

1. Talk to Capitano Kromcrus while you're wearing Completo da Ogre Gordok

To help clarify for people doing this in 2018 or later:

Step 1. Enter the ogre section of the dungeon.
2. Ignore all the all the bosses (you can kill trash if you want) until you reach a room with a goblin and an ice trap.
2.5. Get the quest from the goblin if you've never been here before- if you have, he'll have a blue question mark which means it's a repeatable quest.
3. Go to the floor above and grab the basket of Ogre Tannin, then jump down and exchange it with the goblin for a Gordok Ogre Suit.
4. Continue heading through the dungeon until you reach Captain Kromcrush at the end of a hall before an outside area
5. Use the Gordok Ogre Suit and talk to him until he runs off yelling about one of the Guards.
6. Kill the King, wait for an ogre to run up to you, then click through his dialogue until he spawns a treasure chest with some really rare loot.
7. Run BACK through the dungeon until you reach the spot where the second guard boss was, where Kromcrush will be offering this quest to talk to the first boss.
8. Talk to the first boss and the quest will be completed.
