Goggeroc is level 20 elite, and is by no means "weakened."

Appears at full health, doing anywhere from 20-60 damage.

For you who is as stupid as me, you have to go forward into the cave (just follow it straight forward) until you reach the water. Then you got to use the "Enchanted Resonite Crystal" on the resonite cask that lies above the water.

Then Goggeroc will spawn.

You can actually kill him as many times as you want, but you wont get any exp or loot.

Confirmed as no longer elite after 2.3. More solo'ing goodness.

It's worth mentioning that if you don't clear those around the crystal they will aggro to you when you spawn him. AND if you die you have to abandon and run a lot to get the crystal and go back there.

Sucks.

I'm somewhat confused. How is it that an Earthen is a "dark threat" that will cause all of Stonetalon to be "lost"? I mean, when have the Earthen ever done anything "dark" or evil?

There are two wierd things about this quest.I just went back to complete it at 70. First Goggeroc was yellow to me at level 20. Second, activating the crystal also triggered "Light the Sacred Fire of Life" as completed for the Arik'ara quest.

I was a little disappointed at how easy it was to kill Goggeroc. It was more of a challenge to get to him then to actually kill him.

Easy solo quest though. Did it at level 20 with a 6/3/3 BM Hunter (pet bear). I ended up killing him 5 times before I decided to give him a break.

There are a ton of rapidly respawning kobolds in the caves. Those who are tailoring at low levels might want to do a sweep - the drops of wool and linen are frequent. And all players might want to pick up wool. Remember, it is used for "donations" that build up your reputation with Thunderbluff, Underworld City, Orgimmar, and the Blackspear Trolls.

I have changed the mixture of the Resonite crystals that you gathered with my shamanistic powers. Take the enchanted Resonite crystal and smash open the Resonite cask, which houses the Earthen.
