Just a note if you do this in a group. Each party member has to light the fire. I did this with one other person and we ended up having to fight Arikara twice, as we both had to light the fire to get the quest completed (and lighting the fire spawns Arikara). You might be able to have other party members light the fire while Arikara is already spawned, thus avoiding extra battles.

On his little platform there are 4 Tauren spawns. He's pretty easy to kill as a 29

just solo'd this quest as a level 30 troll rogue

arikara is a lvl 28 elite and is pretty tough. i had to use all my rogue tricks to take him down (evasion, poisons, slice and dice, etc.)

i had to use one healing potion throughout the entire battle. make sure you clear all of the grimtotom guards in the area first so your fight isnt rudely interupted.

hit hard and hit fast and you should have no problem

Solo with 32lvl Rogue.
After the kill just jump to the lake next to hill. Fastest way to go down.

I solo'ed with my level 29 fire mage.

I found that moving in a circle around the stick bundle you lit is the best way to avoid getting hit while charging frost nova or blink. I had to use a heal when my health dropped low, but ended up killing her with plenty of health left after the heal. Best way to get out as a mage is to use slow fall...jumping into the lake below may draw aggro from the creatures guarding the Incendia Agave...as they have high magic resistance, they may kill you if you are weak.

I used only Arcane Missiles, Fireball, Pyroball (opener), Fire Blast, Frost Nova. Quite manageable as a mage at level 28 or 29, though.

Judging from the completion text Arikara was after Magatha Grimtotem and not Caire Bloodhoof.

As of Patch 2.3 she is non-elite therefore easy soloable by any class.

To save yourself a few trips to Darkcloud Pinnacle, I recommend doing the following quests at the same time as this one.

I just tamed her on my 2 BE hunters before I finished the quest.
It is a novelty to have that poof, but in the past it was not as much of an event because you had to dismiss her and call her.
How many of us do that very often? Yes, if we had occasion to call her, it was nice.
So, I was wary about her this time, but I found she is even more fun.
Each time we dismount, she poofs. When ever we land, she poofs. So, at this point the she is probably a lot more "worth it" than before when they didn't disappear when on a mount.
If you would like to tame her, post in your realm forums as it is for any class.
It is not an imposition for the person to let you tame her.
All they have to do it summon and back up while you tame.
Then they can summon again without having to go back to town or abandon.
Takes them an extra 20 seconds.

Level 31 Protection Paladin, easy kill. Quest rewards are questionable though. The wand is useless to a Pally; the mace only does half the dps of the axe I already use and the shield is a green item inferior to the blue item shield I already have. Still a fun fight and good for a little extra XP.

Easy quest for a lvl28 rogue. Lit the fire and was able to stealth again, sneak up behind him and Ambush him. Have to get behind him quick though otherwise he'll disappear if not attacked right away. True the rewards weren't the greatest but still an simple quest.

Soloed it as level 28 druid. Didn't even hit me. Just kept Entangling roots then doing Moonfire, Moonfire, entangling roots, moonfire, moonfire.

This Comment is For Rogues (especially Subtlety spec) and Druids:

If you're going stealth to fight this mob, move quickly because if she isn't in combat after 10 seconds of being summoned, then she despawns.
