Summon your pet anywhere in Winterspring and it will give you the daily. The moonkin are directly east of Everlook, just north of the fort. The yeti are just south of the fort. Very cute quest that apparently gives you a pet.
You must collect 20 whiskers, (one for each daily), 20 rugged leather and 20 runecloth to get the pet. For the hunting practice, just run ahead of him to a rabbit mound and he will pounce on it. He doesn't seem to aggro the other animals, although he is low level.

Notes

To make the cat toy, you need these things:

Tough Yeti Hide (1)
Dropped by the yeti just south of the Winterfall Village in the cave.
Wildkin Feather (5)
Dropped by the Owlbeasts in The Hidden Grove.

After collecting the hide and feathers, right-click to combine them into the cat toy. Then right-click the toy to Use it.
Using the toy produces a ground targeted area of effect targeting circle. Click the circle to have the cub play with the toy.
The Hidden Grove can be found at the north end of Winterspring, due north of Everlook, and is labeled on the game map.

Descrizione

[The Winterspring cub plays with a small tuft of fur from a large animal, batting the discarded hair about. While your cub looks like it's enjoying the new game, you wonder if it might get more enjoyment from a proper cat toy.

With a little bit of leather from a yeti pelt and some feathers from crazed moonkin, you could make a respectable toy. You'll need a hide from the yeti in the Ice Thistle Hills southeast of Everlook and feathers from the moonkin at the Hidden Grove or Owl Wing Thicket.]
