Dont forget if you do the tablet quest, to return it to him in Badlands first because both this and that take you back to Undercity for another 1500xp or so.

As a lvl 40 rogue, u can solo both "Tablet of Ryun'eh" and "Reclaimed Treasures" with a simple sap and a blind.

Super easy to solo this quest now thanks to the latest patch! The mobs are no longer elite which makes this quite easy. If you are mid-30's be prepared for a bit of a fight if you can't handle multiple mobs, anything over that shouldn't have much of a problem :).

And thanks to the XP quest reward change I got 5050xp, 60 silver and 250 UC rep at level 44.

The mobs (outside) the instance aren't elite, easy to solo with a rogue or druid.

The mobs in the instance are elite, every last one of them. Outside the instance they're just standard mobs.

Did this easily at level 38 as a forsaken rogue. The mines full of level 30s but the corridor leading off to the quest item has some level 37-38s. I just sneaked past them or distracted them (there was one in the middle of the corridor I had to sap but the rest was plain sailing), got to the back of the room and none of them saw me while I opened the chest or hearth stoned out. I don't know if that'll work again but its worth a try if you can't be arsed to kill the mobs.

The mobs outside the instance(outside the portal) aren't elite, easy to solo. I soloed as a lvl 39 undead rogue. Very easy it was.

The quest item is inside a box OUTSIDE of uldaman, facing the portal there is a path to your left/west of portal entrance in that room there is a small box in corner.

South Common Hall can be accessed by the tunnel at the far right side farthest away from the Instance Entrance.

Those of you that like to speed through the tunnels may miss it since you can jump off the ledge down to the Instance, without noticing there is another tunnel offshoot from this large room in Dig One.

As was said above, the Treasure is to be found outside the actual instance. While the Alliance version of the quest item is found in the North Common Hall, you need to go to the South Common Hall for the Horde item.

Here is how you get there:

After entering the front entrance, go forward until you enter the "Excavation Center". There is a sort of tunnel there - or rather, a bridge that you can walk underneath. You need to go underneath that bridge. Moving forward, you will enter "Dig One" after a bit. Down in the dig, you will see the instance portal to your right.
Jump down into the dig and keep the instance portal to your right. Go to the tunnel you see before you (there are two dwaves' tents to the right of the tunnel mouth.)
Walking through the tunnel will get you to a tiled hallway, the "South Common Hall". Turn left, go up the three stairs into the Hall, and the chest with the treasure is right ahead of you at the back wall, partially obscured by a pillar.

Standing directly on the box, the coordinates are 51,79 / 64,00.

Just posting this since of the 17 comments above, none were clear as to where to complete this quest.

The quest item is not inside the instance, but directly outside the front entrance to the instance. In the same room of the front entrance, there is a small entranceway on the left corner, next to two huts. Go through that tunnel, which will lead you to a small paved room, called the south common room, this is where the item for this quest is located.

Just to point out that the screenshot of the box by Subzidion, is actually the chest inside the South Common Hall, i have also uploaded a screenshot showing the proper chest located in the North Common Hall at coordinates (35.6, 23.5)

Just turned this quest in at level 51 (still green) but I only got 2200 exp (including a 10% buff from my BoA.) Not sure if this has been changed recently but I thought I should point it out.

I's surprised nobody has said this but...the treasure you risked your life trying to get, is a broom, that the npc will use to clean up the bat feces

The South Common hall's entrance is in Dig 1 (the room where the instance is entrance is) and the location of treasure chest is 34.0 17.7 (exactly :D)

For Alliance I found it using directions given on thottbot http://www.thottbot.com/quest=1360
1. Enter Uldaman's front entrance.

2. Walk in and the screen will show you enter "Excavation Center", continue forward and go under tunnel.

3. Screen will show you back in "Uldaman". Continue forward and screen will show you in "Dig One". Upon entering "Dig One", follow the path left. Do not jump off the edge to the instance portal.

4. At the first fork in the road. Go left and screen will show you again in "Uldaman". As the word "Uldaman" pops up; you are again in a fork on the road. Left = Dwarves -*- Right = Troggs. Go right towards the Troggs.

5. Continue forward and the screen shows you enter "North Common Hall".
6. Go through the tiled hallway, and when you enter the room; go towards the far wall in-front of you. Then look towards the right, and the chest is there on the floor.

*Note: Standing on the box. I have these coordinates: 53,62.

The Garrett family weapon of choice is locked away in our chest in the South Common Hall of Uldaman from when we Garretts toiled there as diggers. Without it, I will be stuck here forever - literally - sweeping up after these infernal bats.

Reclaim my family's treasure and bring it to me! Help me restore my birthright!
