Run up to the tree in Ashenvale (clear it first :) at 31,32.. Just right click it and you get the quest item.

Also note that the heartswood tree is protected by a large group of 18-20 Dark Strand warlocks/mages/rogues(?). Heavily guarded.

This is suprisingly easy to get for how 'heavily' defended it is. I went in at level 22, stayed close to the wall approaching from Astranaar and only had to kill a single mob, sneaking by everything else without aggro'ing. The Heartswood has a large radius that you can use it from. Stick close to the wall and use it as soon as you're within range.

The Ruins of Ordil'Aran is NorthEast from Maestra's Post. There is a strange big tree there called Heartswood. You have to kill all the guards to get to it.

Well it is more easy if you go from theramore isle take the east shore and go north to Durotan-barrens. From there go to the npc.
As you have go theramore means that you was already in Menethil. so before go theramore go Darkshore and take the flight path. go back menethil and take the ship for theramore. Put you heartstone at Theramore Inn and go barrens take the q from the npc that tolds you to go at the tree. click HS and go theramore take flight path to Darkshore do the q and take the ship to menethil. from there flight for SW

Also you can go by barrens north to go Ashenvale.... It is possible to
but I think it after I have press the Hs.... dont know if it is more quick than to take the gryphon to darkshore.

Ugh... this is going to be impossible. I'm on a PvP server and anytime I go near there, the horde gets me in a pinch. Especially at the Mor'shan Rampart, which you have to go past to get there...

I seriously disagree that this is easily solo-able at 20-21. Between horde who love camping the area, and the NPC monsters, a 20-22 lock can't handle it easily... VW or not. Unless you're twinked like nobodys business and have some wicked gear that makes you invincible, wait until you're mid-20's or get a high-level friend to escort you through killing all the furry little monsters.

If you come at the tree from the southwest (out of Maestra's Post) along the edge of the mountain / trees and keep trying to climb up that mountain and trees as you come along the edge there you can get up behind the root without ever once getting any aggro - get the Heartswood, and leave (either the same path, or hearthstone back to Stormwind and turn it all in).

If u dont wanna kill at all just go along the side of thistle fur village and at a certain point u can climb and then down a hill right to the tree. really easy

i had a lvl 30 escort and yes its in the ruins of O.A the lvl 30 escort is for the killing so u can sit back and relax

DON'T do it like me. It got me killed 5 times out of pure stupidity and tiredness.

Started in Darkshire and ran to rebel camp in STV to cap the FP. Started running towards BB to cap the FP and sail from there, but failed misserably. Got killed by the tiger that always hides behind the first bush when you enter the "actual" STV, and got ganked by a lvl ?? the sec I ress. (was lvl 20 at the time) "Uh!!! I can do a ghost run all teh way to BB, and even get there faster then" i thought to myself. And i did it. Got to BB 50% faster, and clicked the spirit healer, and got portet back to the northern STV with ress sickness and an angry tiger next to me.

Then my brain kicked in and i remembered that i could SWIM all the way down there, so I flew to westfall, ran to the coast and swam all the way without even a small NPC in the way. Capped the FP and took the boat.

I arrived happily in Ratchet and capped the FP just to be sure. Moved along the road with auto-walk, and turned my brain off because, "What could happen to me? It's just The Barrens!" 2 seconds later I got ganked by a lvl 16 rogue as I was drinking my coffee. After a really long detour around any horde player I could see, I finally got to the blind dude, and did the quest.

Apparentley I threw my brain out teh window as I completed teh quest, because I thought it would be easier to take a shortcut through XR. Boy was i wrong. After some painfull ressing atempts I got on the way to Astralala (or what ever it's called) and capped teh FP there. Stupid as I was I started to fight my way through all the furbolgs instead of following the road because i thought it was a shortcut. Wrong again.

I got to the Heartswood quite painless (Zero kills) after that, and moved along towards Auberdine then. Didn't notice I ran into a Raid on Auberdine untill i read "You are dead, 6 minutes untill release" DO'H!!!

Ressed, Sailed to Menethil, flew to SW, completed the quest, Took teh follow-up, killed the succubus, dinged 21, got the summoning spell and (I still regret this part) then banged my head on the desk.

This "easy" little quest took me 2h45m to somplete, so if you do it this way, it's your fault.

Get 13g 23s at 80. Be careful when doing this at high level... if you do not personally tag the mob, you will not get credit. My 80 felhunter one shot it and I had to wait to resummon the succubus and kill it again with a staff hit to get credit.

Alliance warlocks usually don't have any flight paths in Kalimdor yet when they start this quest. With the boat from Stormwind to Auberdine its not hard to walk through Ashenvale to The Barrens and picking up flight paths along the way. When you picked up the quest, go east to Ratchet and use the FP there to fly to Astranaar. It saves you the hassle of walking back and passing the border.

Now that we have mounts (felsteed) at 20, the walking is much easier. Especially through Ashenvale, which is huge and has higher level mobs than you. Against players, who knows?

When i came to the ruins for some reason the Tree didn't show the "quest item glimmer" and i couldn't click it/loot it or nothing. Relogged once and suddently the whole tree was sparkling and i could take the quest item. So if any1 cant find out what to loot, try to relog.

Its at the ruins of Ordil'aran :) I managed to get it without gaining aggro, but i did it with my 36 mage :) but I dont think its very hard to do for lower lvl. Just, as mentioned, sneek up to the wall, and it should be ok :)

Descrizione

In preparation for your coming, I used my sight to look over the world and through the mists of time. I have found what it is you seek.

In the War of the Ancients, two lovers fell together in battle. Where they took their last breaths, a tree known as the heartswood grew, a symbol of their undying love.

That should be enough to tempt a succubus. You will find it in the ruins of Ordil'Aran in the northwestern part of the forest of Ashenvale.
