There at kolkar village wich is around 72,45

The drop rate is very low so be prepared to grind for a while

Very low indeed ..... the 18% drop rate of the kolkars is slightly off ........ more like 10% if not lower. Killed about 50 of these so far and only got 3 ears.

Did this with my levl 34 mage, was a breeze. Got all my ears within 20 mins i'd say.

I'm not sure how a previous poster got adds so easily.. They're rather spread out most of the time. There are a few easily avoided groups, but otherwise the only real problem with the quest is the horrendous drop rate.

Might I suggest doing this quest along with Brutal Politics/Strange Alliance. The ears drop off of them as well and you will probably finish the ears before you've gotten friendly with the faction of your choice. Also the mobs won't attack you seeing as how you will be neutral with them.

Not as hard a grind as everyone makes it out to be. Did it with my level 33 lock in about 45 minutes. Had to kill about 100 of them but drop rate was about 15 percent.
I don't know if anyone else may be confused by this but even though you are looking for centaur ears, all of the similar looking guys drop them: windchasers, scouts, etc.
There is where the supposed low drop rate is. My drop rate (as mentioned above) was 10-20%.

this a great quest is u are warrior lvl 33 and 34 u get a lot of exp from killing the guys so u lvl up fast hell ya!!!!

I found this quest very easy as a 30 druid, took me about 40 mins due to the low drop rate though.

It seemed to go alot faster for me when i focused on only the centaurs that had centaur in there name, that excludes scouts, tramplers, and windchasers. just focus on the centaurs and it will be quick and painless.

68.40 was spot on for location. The drop rate for my lvl30 NE Hunter was 15 ears from 22 kills. I just chipped away at the ones on the edges. Very fast respawn rate.

43 kills later....... YAY!!! just did this quest.......absolute crap droprate, howeveri did ding lvl 32 while doing it, and they are quite gud xp n e wayz, so i wudent miss it.

There seems to be a bug.

Ears drop from mob, that spaws after you kill a previous one.

Just ran this on my GF's druid today, and would put the drop rate on them closer to 50% to me. Not sure if they've buffed the rate, or if I just got really lucky. Never pulled more than one at a time, either, but you have to make sure to keep them from running at low health if you can.

I got 3800xp from this quest and the drop rate was about 60-70% so not at all that bad.

im a level 31 affliction lock and i grinded for about five bars and got all 15

The only problem i had with this quest was that i came to do this quest for a specific reward, but when I finished up and handed in the quest all I got was a lousy ring with +7 to spirit, not the gloves I was expecting to get that offered +7stam and +7agility. Then I find out that the gloves are a HORDE ONLY REWARD!!!! WTF!!! Just goes to show you the Horde is favored by Blizz.

The drop rate on the ears SUCKS, I killed about 80 before I was finished with this quest, lol.

Just did this quest. The droprate, although is obviously no longer abysmal, it is still really bad. I think I had to kill somewhere around 30. If you're going to do this quest, seriously set aside at least half an hour. :( Also, if you're mining that will make things a little less tedious!
