This one is fairly simple, just grab them off the folks in the dungeon prior to entering the instance. Completely possible to do alone around lvl 23 or 24. I got all 8 in almost consecutive drops.

You do not need to do the previous "referral" quest to be able to accept this.

It seems that Draenei are currently unable to do this quest even if they meet the prerequisites.

I am a Night Elf who started in Azuremyst and did all the draneai quests, then i went back to shadowglen and did all the quests up until i was suppose to quest in darkshore...I can't do the quest...no idea why...and im almost done with darkshore and about to go to ashenvale

I am also a NE who can't get this quest because I "do not meet the requirements." I also started my char in Exodar and am Revered with Exodar, I wonder if that's why we can't get it?

Night Elves must be atleast level 18 to start this quest.

I've got the same problem, draenei and revered in exodar and did the The Corruption Abroad quest before but can't even talk to the NPC. I contacted GM about this and they will look into it, hopefully the bug is fixed asap.

I had no problem getting the quest with my draenei.
Must have been fixed with patch 2.1 this week.

Still broken for my draenei shaman on June 30th, 2007. I'd done every possible Azuremyst/Bloodmyst quest, and when turning in the intro quest from Stormwind for this one, got the same "You have already completed this quest" message others have reported. Notably, my teammate had not yet done this quest or pretty much any lowbie Azuremyst/Bloodmyst ones. He was able to get this quest, but when he tried to share it with me got the message that I had completed it. So, sharing doesn't work either.

I'm wondering if this is being caused by a quest on Azuremyst/Bloodmyst having the same ID as this quest, or something similar.

I did pretty much all of Azuremyst and Bloodmyst on my night elf druid, and when I tried to get this quest at level 24, I got the same error other people have mentioned. "You have already completed this quest."

A thottbot comment mentions that the finishing the quest "Precious and Fragile Things Need Special Handling" (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9523) breaks this quest.

I was able to obtain and complete this quest as of today, despite having completed above mentioned quest earlier. My guess is that the problem has been fixed.

Here is where you find this dungeon quest-Blackfathom Depths is a dungeon found in the Zoram Strand (on the west shore of Ashenvale). Head to the northen part of the Zoram Strand and look for a building that has been flooded with water. Dive down in the water and swim under the wall to enter the dungeon. Had a hard time finding this for everyone

The dungeon contains elite satyrs and nagas, levels 20-22.

as of patch 2.3, all mobs required for this quest are non-elite. completely solo able as any class 21+.

same mobs required for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6995 for paladin's verigan's fist quest chain.

Confirmed: a GM stated just that to me when I asked about this quest directly. So if you're above level 27, don't bother doing this one. At least not until the next patch (when it'll hopefully get fixed).

Well, i think u can´t do this with a hight lvl, because I tryed with my 70 pala, and the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=5952 did never dropped.
After that I tryed with my lvl 19 twink, and it nearly dropped from each mob.

To bad that if I wanted to complete the quest, my twink will gotten to lvl 20 with 59 experience >.<

As of this patch (2.4.2) the quest is indeed giving rep with factions again. I received 62 Exodar rep at level 35. Whether it will give reputation at higher levels than this or not, the jury is still out.

It probably would have given Darnassus reputation as well, but I was already full Exalted, so I can't be sure how much.

lvl 19-22 early on in, but its not the mobs you gotta watch out for its horde! I tried several times, but never got very far in (while alive). I got 3 brain stems. Im either gonna wait until 3am to do it, or get a lvl 80 dk to go w/me

Not hard at all. All needed mobs are outside the instance, just after the part where you have to swim under. Soloable as a lvl 18 pally.

You may not be able to get this quest, especially if you've quested in the Draenei starting zone. If so, try doing it's prerequisite, (The Corruption Abroad). Worked for me!

Okay I read the comments for this and so far all indications were that they only drop from mobs outside the instance. However, they DO drop from mobs inside the instance as well! So if you're planning ahead (like I was) grab the quest and sign up for a BFD group, no need to grind on mobs outside. :)

Foolish blood elves toil with demonic magic. Have they not witnessed what happened with the naga and with the satyrs of Kalimdor?

I fear that the blood elves will meet a similar deformation. Azeroth cannot afford to give birth to another vile race of monsters.

I wish to study the brain stems of the satyr and naga so that I might deduce what fate the Sin'dorei are headed toward. In Blackfathom Deeps, just to the west, you will find both satyr and naga.
