One of the Deathstalkers is being held prisoner. You have to release him in order to get past the first section of the instance. The second Deathstalker can be seen being tormented by Arugal just as you enter the instance. Work your way around to him to finish the quest.

When you go down and kill the executioner and the 3 cells, the one you ask to open the door to the courtyard is one of them, and the other is dead right next to the battered chest right when you go into the courtyard.I dont know what to do from there, i havent done it, i just know where they are.

We did this quest in team of frost mage + priest, at level 21. Pulls with crowd control, and sometimes frost nova + fear ftw. You dont even need full 5 man group for that.

Basically, you can manage to pull all the mobs till first questgiver so they come one by one, or max 2 at time. Frost immunity of some caster worgens makes things worse, but you still can kite them and kill with fire spells.

I think those shoulders are best at levels close to 20, as later you will find better replacement(as far as I remember Arugal' shoulders are 26+).

be careful when you jump down to talk to the npc after getting the door opened,
Its much smarter to lure the first two by the door and take them, otherwise, you won't even make it too the body of the guy who you have to talk to to finish the quest. There is about 10 elites down there waiting for you.
Don't be tempted to jump down and try to talk to the guy, unless you have your own healer/shield that prevents damage.

Easy to do as 29 rogue. Just stealth in, draw off the guards in twos, kill, wait for vanish and lifeblood to cool down if you used. open cell to right (right click lever to right of cells to open), then as someone said above, draw off the two guards in the room, kill and then kill main guard. Open chest gets you jumped by others. Also watch for wandering animals and guards, and time yourself to avoid them. Easy with stealth. Also I used poison on daggers to cripple speed of enemy.

I'm curious as to the "Small trinket" that's clutched in Vincent's hand? Says at the end of the quest completion text-Unless its quest reward, but how can a pair of shoulders be considered small?

Does Vincent respawn? Killed everything, where he should be, but... no body... :S

EDIT: Same thing... went back a few days later, I could see him getting killed on the other side of the gate and laying on the ground. I'm lvl47 so was able to get there ASAP, and same deal... no body. Prob is though, when watching the NPC's in that area I could see them popping in/out of the floor.

In preparation for an assault on Shadowfang, two deathstalkers were sent to the keep to gather intelligence. It has been many days and they have not returned, but we must receive their report if we're to have any hope of a successful attack!

So here is your task, <name>. Go to Shadowfang Keep to the south and find the Deathstalkers Adamant and Vincent. Find them, and if they require aid then give it.

This mission is as dangerous as is it critical, <name>. Do not fail.
