A good trick while taming is to use Hunter's mark on the desired warpstalker, this way while you're setting up the trap etc, you won't turn to find that your pet to be has vanished.

Just spotted that they've changed these pets...they no longer have the Warp ability, major disappointment. Now they just have Time warp, a slowing ability that seems inferior to the croc one, as it's on a longer cooldown.

Petopia has recently confirmed the return of the red level 71-73 Daggertail Lizards to the Blade's Edge Mountains.

Newly tamable in the 4.03a patch are the olive green Displaced Warp Stalkers in Mazthoril, Winterspring, and the aforementioned red Daggertail Lizards in the northernmost part of Blade's Edge Mountains. Gezzarak the Huntress is also tamable again, and come Cataclysm, there's an attractive blue variety tamable in the depths of Vash'jir.

The new Warp seems incredibly lackluster seeing as hunters already have Concussive Shot.

About the one in Vasjh'ir, it shows up in selection as the green skin, when it is really blue and red. Pretty nice for the warp stalkers.

i dont see why blizz would remove warp, if anything they could remove charge, keep warp and add Time Warp.

Here is the 'missing' red warp stalker of Blade's Edge Mountains: the Sauro Codafine
It's got pretty unique coloring, especially it's back spikes. I would say it would fit just -perfectly- in Bloodmyst Isle ;)

When looking for one (and it may take a few minutes as there aren't that many of them and they love to stay invisible) be wary of the elite black dragon ( Furial ) patroling the skye above the area. He likes to shoot fireballs if you fly to close to him.

Amazingly beautiful pet. It will definitely turn heads when you use it. Surprisingly useful in BGs. You can use your pet's slow while making a concussion shot macro to slow down a secondary melee that is coming after you. In a strict WSG; it could also lag back two healers.

Edit: Derped on some spelling. Also wanted to throw out there that spiders are still technically better because it's an honest-to-god snare. However; there you go. A valid reason to use a Warp Stalker.

MoP added a new talent called "Blink Strike", which has the same icon as Warp and teleports your pet to the target, dealing damage.

As of patch 5.2.0 Zormus (lvl. 47) is now the lowest level warp stalker around. He is in the badlands.
