Worth noting that "dots" in pet battles also include multi-round effects or weather conditions that deal damage per turn (eg, Scorched Earth).

This stacks with Shell Shield and other such effects very potently: Shell shield will apply the flat damage decrease AFTER this -25%, resulting in immunity to most multi-turn attacks.

For example, a Jade Owl is a Magic type pet with Flying type abilities which makes it a perfect counter (or SUPER counter) against a Frog.

Today i did a battle against an aquatic pet and i used this ability: Birra Esplosiva and instead of doing 360 damage as the tooltip was saying it did like 160 damage so i guess the aquatic passive affects even abilities that will do damage after some rounds.
