Arrived at cave (86,49) at 23:30 game time and Naraxis was not there. Naraxis spawned at 00:08 and wasn't a difficult tame for me (27 hunter) using concussive shot & freeze trap. Now I have a really cool pet!!

Easily tameable as a level 27 hunter, even when my Concussive Shot missed. Just use the freeze-trap method. (Well worth the tame, too, it looks great - one of my favorite pets.)

Watch out when fighting him, though. It has an attack that snares you for 30 seconds, and a rather annoying 2-minute poison.

Every time I'm out on an alt, killing spiders for the Totem of Infliction quest in Darkshire, I always wait to kill Naraxis for the final vial. Sounds kinda RPish, but hell, it sure makes for an exciting end to the quest. From a paladin's RP view, however;

"As I walked through the woods, up a hill, the number of large widow spiders increased. As I cut them down, I heard a more devious noise. I questioned if it was a spider, or something worse. I enter a cave, and suddenly, I'm pinned to the wall by a powerful web. I struggle, struggle, struggle ever so frantically, not knowing what kind of spider could net me with such force. I look forward, and find a bunch of mutilated corpses and moss growing on skeletons. Suddenly, a large pack of corpses moves, and reveals it's a spider! This monster was bloody red, and had green markings on its abdomen. Trying to calm down, I remember my teachings. I cast upon myself a blessing that frees my hand, and as the spider leaps at me, ready to envenom me and turn me into dinner, I swing my mace.

I wake up several minutes later, and find the spider dead. The beast's face and two left limbs were crushed from my hammer, the acidic slime from its mouth melting away the webbing. I was freed from the sinister spider's grasp. I scoop up a sample of the spider's venom, and hastily escape the cave."

He is really easy to kill I just did on my 25 fury warrior barely got me to half health but I also have alot of blues from SFK but you can probably kill him if your 25 or up.

Just tamed him. Wasn't expecting him to be there, but got lucky. Easy tame though.

Just tamed it a minute ago, she completes my collection of uniques(Or rares) at level 49, having a Fiera Spettrale, Humar il Nerobranco, Mazzranache, Lupos and this.

Nice spider to tame if you have the patience. I had to wait 4 and a half hours.

By far my favorite pet. I accidentally killed her the first time i found her. Took me three days to run into her again. Love the skin color.

Had a friend summon me there from the guild, got there, taming, got to 6/10 sec. then he shot it and killed it. He goes oops. Ment to screenshot. and didnt think anything of it. cool time to wait 8 hours.

Just tamed (she was waiting for me in her cave, packed and ready to travel) and the abilities listed in the tab are not in her spell book. I'm feeling somewhat ripped off at the moment, but she is still a cool looking spider. Maybe the special abilities will come as we level together. Will update if that is the case.

Sorry for sounding stupid, but does this skin exist on another mob? Seeing as they said rare instead of unique?
