when you make beast lore (hunter), it says that yu can tame it. But when i tried it, it just said invalid target o.O

Horde- azgalore server 62 hunter. Just tamed Spot as a pet. Spot is now my 3rd of the 4 "unique" pets. When you or any one else click on him he barks. As do the praire wolfs from Dun M. (lvl 5-7ish) They are the only wolfs that do this. I also have the ghost cat and Rak'shiri. For more info on the Unique pets you can check out petopia and click the link about "unique pets" Enjoy!

if your a hunter below the level that you can kill the guards in theramore you can ghost run your way to spot.

behind him is a place without guards that you can safly pull him and tame him, i tried it.

Can an alliance confirm where on the island he is, and if the only way to tame is to fight a few guards? Thanks

he is most likely a reference to the old cartoon Spot the Dog which he looks similar to (they are both yellow)

Spot also lives on Theramore Isle just in front of the castle (as a guarding dog?) (coords 68 47)

I think he is a reference of 'See Spot Run'. Since he is by the military part of Theramore.

It seems like he passed away with MoP. During the scenario "Theramore's Fall" you can still find his little house but it was destroyed by a rock. Spot himself is nowhere to seen, so we can assume he is dead.
