He's a named NPC in Ashenvale, atop a high mountain. Reachable by flying mount, no clue how you will get there while leveling in the zone. Guess he'll be a final boss of the zone or something and a npc will fly you up there or something.

Also - possible Firefly reference. :)

He yells "Sorch the ground, boil the water and ignite the skies!" from time to time.

Seems like a reference to the Firefly opening lyrics "Burn the land and boil the sea, you can't take the sky from me."

the troll charm is a random quest drop from a furbog in the area above hellscream's watch in ashenvale.

Given how much he spams, and that he doesn't phase out after you complete the quest, I made a point to kill this guy manually the instant I got Azeroth flight.

Really, it's the first thing I did. And I still do it whenever I'm flying by.

Once u pick up the quest, speak to the questgiver The Vortex again. he transforms u into a mini vortex and u fly up to where Magmathar is.

this guy sits atop a mountain between felwood and ashenvale, he is.. i think he is actually peeing lava into ashenvale, while yelling mocking sentences

Weird glitch happened when I did this quest. I was in a dungeon queue while in tornado form and attempted to teleport to the dungeon. As usual it wouldn't let me teleport since I was in tornado form so I waited until I was done.

After finishing the dungeon I attempted to complete the quest multiple times (killing him each time), but the kill wouldn't trigger. Eventually I abandoned the quest and re-accepted it, finally allowing me to complete the quest.

I have attempted to come to an understanding with this fellow - He doesn't say anything while I'm within earshot, and I don't fly up and kill him.

I've made a few dozen trips through Ashenvale; and sadly for him he hasn't survived one.

First thing I did when I got up there, was yell "STFU NOOB!". Seriously, he's a reason why it's a good idea to turn off mob yell.

I had a weird glitch on this quest also, it wouldn't give me the quest complete if I flew up and killed in him while in cat form. I tried abandoning the quest and starting again, but it wasn't until i came out of cat form that I got the kill.. Strange.

I was travelling to Moonglade for Formula: Incanta Mantello - Difesa Pregevole from Lorelae Gelocanto. when I did /tar Lor I targetted this guy from Moonglade? is this an NPC Scan bug or what?

Yeah I just got this guy in Dustwallow Marsh while trying to /tar Lor to find Lord Angler (the rare Makrinni).

Might be because he's so high up? I know Putridus in Icecrown is visible/targetable from Dalaran because of his size, maybe elevation does it too for some reason? Weird.

I've encountered an interesting glitch when fighting him.
Upon his death, his death animation didn't occur. He just fell down the side of the mountain with all of the fire and lava without bursting and dropping his bracelets.

Even more interesting, was that his health bar read "8%" and was not labeled as a corpse, though any further attempts to attack him were met with the "Your target is dead" message.
Regardless, He despawned after a few seconds.

Only Ragnaros would send a level 24 minion with 6500 HP to subjugate Ashenvale. No wonder he gets his patootie kicked so often.

I was flying through this place omw INto Ashenvale to buy some Enchanting Formulae when this guy just invaded my screen from a nearby mountaintop. Scared the hell out of me to see a massive black/orange thing materialize over 80% of my screen and start /yelling.
