This mob randomly appeared for me while I was on the quest What Came First, the Drake or the Egg. There is a seemingly pointless dialogue about how foolish I was to release him, and then he set off to conquer the world. And that was the end of that.

he isnt attackable, but you can change him back into one of the little drakes again and he yells "NOOOOooooooo!". Lol.

Just had him aswell on AQ server.. got a big shock.. was boosting my brother while he did the quest and he repaired.. to bad he isent attackable..

Monolouge is as folllows:

Nihil The Banished: Muahahahahaha! You fool! you've released me from my banishment in the interstices between space and time

When he appeared just now, he didn't say anything but instead chased me all around Toshley's Station.

As a rogue make sure your stealth is off cooldown before looting the egg because you can stealth right before the drake spawns.
Another thing, you can still attack the mob while channeling the modulator when the mob is cheap shotted or kidney shotted.

As for everyone else, if you get the elete mob spawn simply wait for your modulator to be available and just make the elete into a different drake.

Although he wont attack you, I didn't stick around long when I first got him to appear on the quest. Feet don't phail me now.

I'm pretty sure this was just a little joke. I seriously doubt that he will ever be implemented again, and was just meant to shock unsuspecting questers! I literally almost jumped in my seat when he turned, then started laughing to myself when, to his protest, he got turned back into a Mature Nether Drake.

He popped out of the first egg that I opened! At that time I didn't really know what was going on, so he got to go through all of his dialogue and fly away. Next time he popped I used the quest item on him again and turned him into a proto-drake. Lol.

It doesn't appear that he is in any other part of the game. I looked on this site and the only time anyone see's him is when they are on this quest. :(

I was sort of hoping the follow up for "What came first, the drake or the egg" was going to be something to do with this guy. Or maybe after he flew away he left a quest starting item or something. But alas, no. Just flavor I think. He scared the living hell out of me though.

When i summoned him, i though he was a rare mob like the ones needed for Bloody Rare ach. I started healing myself, buffing and everything..... then he went away.

If you use the gadget on him again, he screams no, and turns into a smaller drake. Then you kill him.

So sad, too bad.

What's really funny is if you wait for him to get done monologue-ing and let him take off in flight, and THEN use the at just the right time, he will keep flying off into the sky as whatever you changed him into. In my case he changed into a Proto-Nether Drake, an ostensibly flightless reptile, and yet still flew off.

Just did this quest, and he appeared twice while i was converting little whelps. Looks like he was trapped again after he flew to conquer the world... and i just release him again but now i changed him and stole his poor escence as a Proto-Nether Drake. Funny after all

Strange but when he spawned for me out of the Egg in the quest in BEM Singing Ridge, I was able to kill him. No loot tho.

Even though he shows up as red you cannot attack him. I am assuming that is because you can use the modulator on him.

Just encountered this guy for the first time ever. Had no idea he existed... Even after 8 years WoW still has a few surprises tucked away.

I've been playing the game since 2004, and TBC since...2006? - whenever it was released, anyway. And I encounter this mob for the first time this evening. I genuinely had no idea what was happening, which was fun.
