Very easy boss if you have three Mechanical Pandaren Dragonlings.

Continue cycling through them until both are dead.

No RNG involved since decoy is blocking everything anyway.

made an account just to post here. seeing as this fight is a pain and i did not have the pets mentioned above i had to come up with my own pets to win against this guy. i used fire beetle, stout alemental, fel flame. use apocolypse turn one with beetle and then swap to stout alemental use hit chance reduction then turn after use bubble. swap to fel flame to kill the first guy before apocolypse comes down so that it can land on the second pet. if rng is bad and the dude kills ur fel flame pull back out your beetle and kill him. just make sure your beetle is alive for the apocolypse to come down on 2nd pet gl

Very easy way to do it (rather slowly) is to use any three pets with sunlight and photosynthesis.

I used Broot, Blossoming Ancient, and Singing Sunflower

1: Cast Sunlight
2: Cast Photosynthesis
3. Swap to next pet
4. Repeat

I was able to finish this encounter with all pets at or near full health and never even saw the backline pet.

I beat this guy's pet team with some pretty basic pets and tactics. Boneshard, Ikky and my Zandalari Kneebiter. First, Boneshard hit em with Blistering Cold and Chop, then i swapped out to my Zandalari for Black Claw then back to Boneshard again. By this time Logic was pretty low on hp so i Chopped him again then hit him with another Blistering Cold. After Logic bit it, Math swapped Boneshard out with Ikky for a nice big Black Claw and Flock. Wasnt long after that Math didnt have the numbers to keep goin XD

Sometimes the swappin gets messy or it looks like some pets could die as they were really low on health but it all seemed to work out pretty good :) Since this is my first time fighting Therin with my team some pets could have easily died, but for the most this seems pretty reliable. Ill know more next time im here :) GL!

Starting with Valdarwin's strategy above, I used Boneshard with Blistering and Chop. Ominous Flame with Forboding Curse and Autumnal Sproutling with Natures Ward and Sons of the Root. Key is getting Blistering out, followed by Forboding, then use Sons to ride out first enemy's death.

Was I the only one who noticed the odds Therin gives Tasha and the connection to Khadgar? He said the odds of beating us was exactly one in 4986. I was like "hmmm, that number seems familiar, could it be?" And yes, I double checked and 4986 was the amount of apexis crystals Khadgar asked us to gather during the WoD ring quest.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm a mage. I did the math. I need exactly 4986 crystals. 4985 is inadequate. 4987 is of course absurd."

So the top tactics are pretty slow
Looks like others are trying some alternatives

This worked for me today

Crazy carrot with blistering cold
Ikky, but foulfeather might be better for the health
Orphaned fel bat

Start with Crazy carrot and blistering cold
switch to ikky/foulfeather, then black claw and flock
when ikky dies bring crazy carrot back in to do blistering cold and ironbark

crazy carrot got swapped out by math
Then felbat black claw, fel immolate and drain blood

massively quicker

needs some tweaking i think but better tactics

Speaking of noticing things.. Why is it Therin pronounces "plebeian" correctly in the Gnomeregan pet dungeon, but then mispronounces it in Blackrock Depths? Just thought that was a bit odd...

Boneshard - blistering cold, chop, bonestorm
Alpine Hare - dodge (first), stampede, flurry,
Phoenix Hatchling - burn, then conflagrate, burn, cauterize, burn.

The only thing that worked for me was Kun-Lai Runt, Frost Shock then Deep Freeze whenever it's off cooldown.
Also used Fel Flame with Burn, Immolate and Conflagrate.
Used Water Waveling as backup with Ice Lance, Frost Shock and Geyser but it didn't end up doing much.
Heavily RNG dependent I think, but hope it helps someone.

This took a long time. Play around with this combo. I put up Glowing Toxin, then Dazzling Dance, and swapped out. Then Ice Tomb followed by blizzard and ice lance. at some point brought back in glowfly for another glowing toxin and dazzling dance. the beauty of the stun/toxin combo is the enemy pets take damage while stunned. I somehow got this to work on the first try, but there's some RNG involved.

Darkmoon Glowfly - Glowing Toxin, Dazzling Dance, then swap out for one of others
Father Winter's Helper - Ice Tomb, Blizzard, Ice Lance
Winter's Little Helper - Ice Tomb, Blizzard, Ice Lance

At Yaspis' suggestion I used crazy carrot.

Crazy Carrot - Blistering cold on cd and jab in between. Crazy Carrot dies.
Spring Rabbit - Dodge - Stampede - Stampede - Gets switched out
Pandaren Fire Spirit - Immolate - conflagrate - burn til pfs is dead
Spring rabbit comes back in - Dodge - Stampede - Flurry if needed.

Broot 222 Keep Photosynthesis and Sunlight on CD. Fill with Ironbark.
Muar 2X1 Claw until it's time for Life Exchange.
Sprite Darter Hatchling 12X Slicing winds till Life Exchange
Begin:
Broot takes out Logic.
Math comes in and force swaps Broot with a back line pet.
Fill in with damage. Timing is key on when to cast LIfe Exchange. Fill with damage.
When your pet dies, bring back in Broot. Ironbark, Sunlight, Photosynthesis.
Math will swap out Broot again.
Fill in with damage. Timing is key on when to cast LIfe Exchange. Fill with damage.
If needed Broot will clean up.
Took me 35 rounds and over 4 hours of frustration. Until the next pet nerf!
