when you kill eels here,, they will drop chum,
you throw the chum back and keep killing eels. Once enough is killed,, a rare creature will spawn. kill it and loot your prize!

I found one at 48.2 24.1. (the lake near Gate of the Queen.

It seems that you cannot use a chum at the same infestation. Or worse as I heard, it's on a daily cd. I've checked out other locations of posted coordinates for the Eel Infestations and they weren't there. Take it as an NPC with multiple spawn locations.

When you kill the rare, the eel infested pool gets on a cooldown. I don't know for how long though.

I am not sure I understand how this works, there seem to be two types of chum, I have an uncommon one and multiple regular chums that drop from the eels. I can see the pool, I keep throwing the regular chum in, eels spawn, die, and give me more chum. However when I try to throw in the uncommon chum, it says requires eel infested waters. The pool is bright red, do two different types of pools spawn in the same place?

I had to throw in about seven 5-min chums before it spawned, after throwing the green chum first

This is one of the summonable rares. After you have completed it's introduction quest, it becomes a World Rare when summoned thereafter by using Esca

Find Fish does not work to locate this pool. If you are just looking for it visually in the water, the pool itself has a greenish yellowish tint to it.

Using Esca (notice: uncommon item) in this green-yellowish pool will turn it red and spawn small eels that will drop Esca (notice: common item). Continuing to drop Esca's in the red pool will summon more eels and, eventually, Vor'koth, who has a chance to drop Anguilla Brulicante, among other things.

I have never seen the green "Eel Infested Waters" pool doing flybys since the first time I stumbled across it months ago. Today, I decided to just wait, and it spawned in less than 5 minutes of waiting.

One thing to note - The Skittering Eels that spawn here are exponentially deadlier than the rare that eventually comes about. They have an "Electrify" ability that nukes HARD, and will stun lock you until you die if you face more than one at the same time. Hence, if they group up on you more than 3 or 4 at once and you can't one shot them, you're probably toast.

Got a Chum and went to find the waters, only to see the corpse of the rare. I stood around and waited for the waters to respawn and it took about 30 minutes. Be careful with the eels, make sure you stun them and interrupt the Electrify ability and just do one at a time. After about 8 tosses of the (not uncommon) Chum, the rare spawned. Good luck!

I went to the Acque Infestate d'Anguille (48.2, 28.1), and had Esca not work. After a GM returned the item to me, I used it and it worked perfectly. Took about 10 rounds of eels though. The next kill (rare elite) after the event, I got another Esca. After reading the comments, I wasn't sure if I could use it again, but I figured I'd give it a try. The pool was respawned when I went back about an hour later and the new Esca worked normally. First eel kill and I looted another Esca.

This can be done multiple times per day from the same Acque Infestate d'Anguille.
