i soloed this at lvl 11 as a mage. just kite him with frostbolt, its np.

He's hard to find if you check the cords on the map you will be thinking he patrols around. but just walk around amberstill ranch and go up the hill from the left side. He's in a cave there.

Eaze mode... soloed with a lvl 9 lock in white gear from vendor ^_^

Went into his cave, casted Corruption, Fear, Immolate, Curse of Agony.. waited a bit and then another fear.... renewed CoA and Fear.. after 3rd fear sent Imp on him.. and just repeated CoA & Fear :P. Let CoA run almost out to get full potential of the DoT.

His cave is at 62.2, 47.1 you have to go up a path that is north of the road and west for the ranch. I found him standing on the cliff thair.

As a Hunter, the easiest way to kill him is to kite him to the Mountaineer at roughly 63,55. Just make sure that he is below 50% health before the Mountaineer attacks, or you won't get credit for the kill.

Other ranged classes (except perhaps Mage) will have problems kiting, as he runs just a touch faster than a player, and of course has to be hit with a direct attack periodically to prevent him from resetting.

Quite simple post-2.3 with lvl 9 warlock (about half greens). Corruption + Curse of Agony, set your imp to keep attacking, and just shadow-bolt him down.

His cave is at 62 46. The map showing different spawn points confused me. It looks like he is always in his cave.

solo'd him as 9 lvl rouge, was easy kill, thrown, gouge, backstab, SS and finish touch by Evi, used Evasion when I was on 70% of hp

Yeah he is really weak. it surprised me that he died so fast because i was expecting a bit more of a challenge.

Soloed Vagash as a level 11 hunter. Just concussive shot, sting and arcane arrow, then run. Arcane arrow again, then concussive shot and run. He died pretty quickly. Suprisingly weak for such a large monster.

EXTREMLY easy to solo for me at lvl 13 rogue. Just shoot him 2 when you lure him, then do sin stike/evic and he's dead.

Extremely easy as a Level 9 Paladin. I ran in, Judgement of Light'd him, popped a Holy Light at 75%, then casted Divine Protection on myself, and did a quick Hammer of Justice when he was at 10%.

Quick and easy fight for such a lovely Mace ;)

Killed him in 3 seconds as a lvl 10 rogue with the Midsummer buffs. Poor Vagash, they should atleast revert starting zone elites like him. That's a dwarven right of passage, goddammit! How will someone new learn to play like that? You level fast as %^&* with easy solo quests, no need to group up to kill elites (if there are any left in 1-60) or run dungeons for gear and xp.

Just killed as level 9 Rogue, without using Evasion, with a mere 9 hp left. I moved away at every Glacial Roar.
I'd tried him as level 8 too, without any hint of success.
