Crystal Fang is a Rare Spawn in LBRS. It has a chance to appear near the area that Mother Smolderweb, another spider boss (Non-Rare) is in.
I've never seen it before, however I haven't done to many runs of LBRS either.

Location on an Atlas map.
On this map, he... She... It... Whatever, is number 14, and Mother Smolderweb is number 13. Just to the left.

I was farming this guy to get the Sunderseer Mantle for Transmogrification. Ran the instance 15 times, saw him 4 times, dropped the shoulders once.

Alrighty. For those interested in the shoulders for transmog. Very easy to access the spider area as an 85 without aggroing any mobs.

The fastest way that I found to get to this mob (if you are lucky enough to have him/her spawn):

To get to Lower BRS:
enter the Blackrock Spire portal, go straight up the ramp to the entry area, where there is a ramp going down (straight ahead) and two ramps going up (left and right).
Go straight ahead (down the ramp) and through the second doorway on the right - this is lower BRS. As an alternate, you can take the ramp on the right (from the entry area), go through the door on the right and jump down. Either way works.

Follow the only route possible until you come out of a short dark tunnel, and go down the stone ramp. Instead of the usual route, where you cross the wooden bridges, make a hard right at the bottom of the ramp and head down the edge of the next ramp. You will see the tops of the tents below. Jump down. You'll take about 30% fall damage.
head to the right, through the narrow gap, and through the tent city that lies after that.

When you reach the end of this section, there will be 5-6 orc mobs standing at the bottom of a rubble pile (the spider zone). Clear them (or stealth through), and you're in spider city.

The spiders are organized in a standard pattern: Two (with babies) on the rubble ramp.
The boss (Mother Smolderweb) is in a nook to the right past the top of the ramp.
A roaming mob walks along the top of a girder to the right of the boss, that leads to the last two spiders (with babies) in a small cove.
This is where Crystalfang will be, if he is there. He'll be one of the last two spiders.

I set my hearth to the nearest flight point (Iron Summit, Searing Gorge for Horde) so every second run (with the hasty hearth guild perk) I could hearth instead of running all the way back out to reset.

My run:
13 resets (14 runs)
2 spawns of crystalfang - shoulders dropped on second spawn.

A good way to get through this way quicker as a warlock is use your Demonic Circle: Summon spell near the flag with rocks across from the orgres on your way in then after you get past the spiders teleport and it saves a lot of time!

This guy has just been made tameable by hunters in 5.0.5.

Given that he looks the same as all the other spiders in the area, the only reason you'd want to is because you have a fetish for taming rares :)

it's worth noting that if this rare spawn is active (spawned and in your dungeon) it'll tell you via NPC scan right upon entering the dungeon/instance. another words, if you don't see it pop up on your NPC scan it's safe to say that you can exit, and reset it... no need to go all the way to where the spiders are located to check.

I had been running this instance over and over trying to get the hands from this spider for transmog and I finally got the spider to spawn today and noticed this on NPC scan...

There are 5 rares in lower blackrock spire:
- Spirestone Battle Lord
- Spirestone Butcher
- Spirestone Lord Magus
- Crystal Fang
- Ghok Bashguud

Never seen two rares in the same run and there might be runs with 0 rare spawns.
From the entrance you can /tar the following:

- Crystal Fang
- Ghok Bashguud
- Spirestone Battle Lord
- Spirestone Butcher

On 8 runs I had 7 rare spawns:
1x Spirestone Battle Lord
1x Spirestone Butcher
0x Spirestone Lord Magus
3x Crystal Fang
1x Ghok Bashguud

P.S. I will later edit the post, I could not enter the dungeon anymore (probably all of them can be targeted from the entrance.)

The shoulders drop a LOT more than the other two for me, after 20 kills, I got 2 fists and 18 pads, still no dagger. You can throw a /tar Crystal Fang at the entrance if your just farming him so you dont have to make your way there every time.
