A mysterious new item has been found in the database for this PTR called the
Occhio Cavato di N'zoth
. The tooltips seem to indicate that you can use it to upgrade an item to have a socket.

8.3 PTR Build 32489 Mounts - More Alpacas, Wrathion Vendor Mount, Assaults
Today's PTR build added more sources for datamined mounts, including more Alpacas! Many of these mounts appear to be from rare spawns from Uldum or Vale Assaults, but there are also a few from the Ny'alotha raid as well as a vendor mount.
